I would love to play some national tournaments but keep in mind shelbz that socal forum was done "this" year listing them as the top team in the nation. so timeline wise that would be a year from now for RASE. I know its tough to follow but RASE is a year behind SRSA and everything they do. SoCal would need more that that weed they are smoking to do anything with RASE. We haven't played any further away than Oklahoma.

Seriously, there can be a thread on two 04 teams in the 10-15 range neither in Liverpool and in a few posts someone will come along and remind us that RASE 04 is the top team. Now we have to hear how RASE 04 is like SRSA 03...

Read through the 03 forum and see how much SRSA 03 parents have to remind everyone how great they are...

RASE 04 is no SRSA and they will not be SRSA 03 like in one year. Heck, RASE still needs to spend a year soundly beating the other top 5 04 teams on a regular basis just solidify top 04 status in North Texas. Lots of development going on, still player movement, it's just too early. Practice some humility... you might need it sooner than you think.

I don't think anyone said "without a doubt". SRSA could be the next big thing to blow up, fail and disappear. They could finish the year looking at the back end of DTS thinking what could have been. Texans Lazer was one of the most impressive group of 04 girls. Managed to beat a few 03's the first year of academy. Walked thru 04 teams and even some boys teams the next season and then Rowdies comes knocking and the whole thing falls apart. The only without a doubt there is that if they don't reach lofty level YOU and others will be the first to remind them of their failures. Which hmmmmm, come to think of it was my point.

If you know some of the SRSA parents, you will have also heard them say that RASE reminds them of their own team. Long way to go? Of course. On the right track? Yes, definitely. Remember those days when DTS would win the odd game against SRSA? Goes to show they weren't unbeatable nor is RASE but they will dominate the age group until they implode or another team improves imeasurably. There are similarities that's all people are sayin'!

Personally, I do believe RASE is the best '04 team in the state of Texas and our neighboring states as well. I believe what sets them apart from others are: passing, possession of ball, strength of players, and the fact they can score from way out. oh, and bench players. Im most cases, there is not a fall off when they sub players. Not may '04 teams have all these traits. Heck, none really that i have seen.

I think if you took her off of RASE and planted her at mid for Dalglish (before the Dalglish sweeper moved to RASE of course), it would be a coin flip as to who would win. Same with DTS, Solar or TX Spirit for that matter. The RASE parents should say the same prayer every night that the TX Spirit parents do hoping their star players parents never get upset and leave. RASE would still be really good, but not "Elite".
