That is a surprise, nice win for BL. But I'll predict Marcus by 2+ over BL.

Few surprises concerning the event....

With the exception of Aquinas (FL), looks like the visiting Cali teams are not as strong as we might have hoped/expected (based on their early season results).

Carroll didn't get as strong of a draw (competition-wise) as one might have expected.

Coppell only playing 2 games...

Widespread rain on Fri may make for lots of losers...

Carroll always seems to carefully manage their schedule in this tournament vs some of the others who seem more inclined to take on all comers and risk an early season loss.

The Carroll vs. Arlington Martin game Friday will be a very competitive game. Martin has a 2 headed monster scoring attack that will make them a tough match up.

I was about to refute lefty's comment about "Carroll carefully managing their schedule in this tournament," by suggesting they wouldn't be able to control their schedule in someone else's tourney....but then it dawned on me (if I'm not mistaking) that Carroll co-hosts this event with Nolan.  What say you, to that, SoccerDad24?

BTW, I saw Martin play last year (vs Flower Mound) and agree they are a pretty solid team.  Don't know what they've experienced with seniors graduating, incoming freshmen, etc...

Biggest concern with this tourney is the number of games within such a short time frame. Maybe that's why some are playing fewer games? Smart coaches protecting their players? Coaches shouldn't agee to 4 games in 44hrs. Games 3 and 4 will go the way of the deeper teams for sure.

A 1-1 tie with Belton doesn't seem like they managed their schedule very well at all, or they graduated all their talent.

OK....my apologies to Bishop Lynch. I was waaaaay off with my prediction. BL over Marcus 2-0. Congrats to BL for a really solid showing. Looks to be a tough team.

Yes Nationaly Unranked Westview High School 35th in California had arguably the best performance of any team in the tournament they didn't draw any easy teams and bested Boyd & Plano West.

BL is a very good team they should do well they have several top players ECNL and I think a quite of few Keith Williams FC 97 Premier team players especially the real fast forward on the 97 team I think #22 a blonde headed girl very aggressive and fast and a top notch goalie to. They will be hard to beat BL
