NFHS rules are being debated for HS soccer. What does everyone think of the current rules vs the changes washington has made?

They did this a few times during our season. Clock on the scoreboard ran as normal. When it went down to 2:00 minutes left, they turned the clock off and let the ref decide when to stop the game. I liked that much better than the actual clock.

As a former HS ref, I would have liked to keep time on the field ala FIFA and I hated that 35-yd. tie-breaker, too difficult to get the timing exactly right.

The one thing that differed from FIFA that I liked was the player having to leave the field after a yellow. Most times it gave the coach a chance to talk to the kid, the kid got a chance to cool down and I thought it helped keep games under control. Of course a ref would have to actually pull a card for it to work Shocked
