The cost is for taking on 4 major travels...in addition to Houston, PL, State Cup, Regionals, LHGCL play, etc. It's the air, hotel, meals, car rentals that make it pricey. I would think that if there were no ECNL, our normal travel (in the Showcase years) would probably be Houston and 2 other major events. We'd also probably do a couple of local Showcase events.
I give up!!!
I guess Sting, Feet, FC and Solar will be more expensive next year.

96 End of year movement - Page 2 Empty Scholarships

The costs are also inflated due to the significant number of scholarship players on a PL team.

For example, if 3 players on an 18 player roster each get a $3000 waiver of costs which would be club/coaching fees and tournament fees, $9000/15 paying players adds $600 to each paying family.

If I had a dd in position to be on a PL, I would probably pay the bill. However, to explain it to a non soccer parent would be impossible. The best I can come up with it is spending money on my dd, rather than something really dumb like a boat or season tickets to the Cowboys. 96 End of year movement - Page 2 Icon_rolleyes

I guess the question is who is deciding the top 100 players???
Well 96 Feet have 11 of them. Anyone that knows how to judge talent can see that. Goodness they are Grand Champions of LHGCL. Right?

Ok back to the beginning of this!!
Will there be a lot of movement in players consolidating talent?

How will the revolution/fc dallas merger factor in?
Which leads me to my next question. If Revolution wins out over Mustangs and stays in D1 and then they merge with FC, does FC then have two teams in D1 or do they combine and make one team leaving a slot open?

No. I meant to say that Feet 96 might not have all top 100 players, but they can beat Texans 95. I know I'm beating a dead horse.

No club will give up a D1 slot. What is the betting line odds on a merger taking place?
