The demise of Solar/Solar Red 96? Empty The demise of Solar/Solar Red 96?

Post by Guest 23/04/10, 08:08 pm

Well, just when things start calming down, the higher ups at Solar pull the rug right out from under everyone.

For ECNL, the best players will be taken from Solar and Solar Red to make one team. Solar already has more problems than a Jerry Springer show and now Solar Red has to suffer from being the stepchild although they are the bright spot in the 96 age division for the the club.

While this may seem like a great idea to some for competitive purposes, what happens to the players that worked so hard on the Solar Red team but they dont get the reward of playing in showcase tournaments next year? How will they feel when some of their teammates leave to go play and then come back to play league.

What about Solar Gold and Solar Blue? Do they get to be in the selection process too? It would only be fair, right?

I am sure the Solar Red parents are not happy. They play for SR because of the location and the coach. Where will this super team practice? While I know some of the players from Solar probably aren't happy either, this is really a blessing for their team. Some of their core players might considering staying now that they might have a chance to play ECNL.

Craziness I tell you!!!!! Expect some serious instability on both teams for quite a while.

I would guess they would offer a spot on the top team to the top players. They could decide if they want to play on the team going to ecnl or not. A sound decision that any club would make.

Im not surprised. I don't think there will be a big problem with Solar and Solar Red merging together for ECNL. As for Solar Blue and Solar Gold. They have not earned the right to play in ENCL at this time. The players from Solar and SR has.

Why would Solar limit player selection to only two teams they are going to be looking at all players in their 4 team pool.

I guess it is a sticky situation but I am sure it will work out in the long run. Both teams being in D1 and being so different in the ways they are run will make it interesting.

I do wonder about additional practices though with the ECNL team.

The Joker sounds more like a disgruntled parent possibly from SR?
