04 Girls Teams - Spring Kickoff Tournament

Just so we are all on the same page here, a few facts:
- The 05 team registered for the top 04 division in this tournament back in December of 2014, not to qualify for 04 Supercopa but to challenge the girls versus good 04 teams and to play some new teams they wouldn't get a chance to see again for a while (US Club allows teams to play up at U10, NTX does not)
- There was a spot available in the top 04 division as late as yesterday night so any team that wanted to jump in was more than capable of jumping in and kudos to Feet for doing so and accepting the challenge of playing in that pool
- Seeding is typically done by gotsoccer points, and because that 05 team both won their League in the Fall and won Plano Labor Day, my guess is they have accumulated a decent total of points which probably gave them a decent seed in this tourney
- Go, I trust that your beloved team will get a bid even if they don't win this tourney, think of the bright side your daughter will get at the least some challenging pool games that will make their team better and help them prepare for the Spring Season!

His team played up...just couldn't get in the top bracket like solar did.

This is also a qualifying tournament. But if they have to play I'm sure  GO wouldn't mind seeing them in his bracket.

The good thing about this age group is that no one from D'Feeters, Texans or Liverpool Elite will say much about the brackets, they will show up and play the games.

Also, I doubt very seriously that any of the teams in Bracket A want to see an '05 team in their bracket. Each of these teams have won many tournaments and seem revel in good competition and not trophy hunting. Those Bracket A teams would get nothing out of playing on '05 team.

I actually think that the 05s could make it out of Bracket C. They're a good little team.

actually did play in the top bracket but thats not the point. I don't believe we ever attempted to play in a qualifying situation and denying an 03 team their chance. See the difference? the #3 Ok team is being excluded now if they have refused to play in the top bracket thats another story and by all mean join in the fun. It seems the other teams are PPL which I think solar would beat.

Just so we are clear Its not that I think solar isn't good enough to compete. I think they are taking a opportunity from a 04 team that deserves it. So that teams goes from having a slim chance to no chance at all. If this wasn't made a qualifier I would care less if they played.

And clearly it's not done by gotsoccer because #3 OK is in gold and #17 is in QT. And then 1,3,6 or 5 are all in the same bracket so TD seems to have no idea what gotsoccer is.

Also yes some great pool games. They should put DTS in the bracket and call it a day

They are a very good team and the bracket is soft. I see them either coming out of bracket or taking the wildcard. Bracket A will have a winner but no wildcard because the games will be too close. It's win or go home for that group

The got soccer standings in OK are pretty skewed right now. #17 (blitz) beat #3 (ofc) 2-0 & lost 1-2.

My dd has played against both teams; I would give edge to Blitz.

gotsoccer is always skewed but surely you don't think its skewed enough that they don't even deserve a shot

It states on the U90c website....​ Due to the League Challenge Cup (Nov 2014) being rained out, the 2015 Spring Kickoff is both the make-up tournament for this event PLUS the 2015 Dallas Premier SuperCopa qualifying tournament. Teams wishing to qualify MUST select the SuperCopa Division when registering for the Spring Kickoff.

If there were spots available until last night, then I suspect that the OKC team did not request the division.

I think ofc didn't ask for it. If they specifically asked, I believe they would have been in SuperCopa bracket.

just so we are clear none of this is the solar teams fault so not blaming them.  Play as high as they will let you.  The TD should have contacted the OK team and pushed them up or at least asked.  It appears they are overpowering the gold bracket which then ruins it for the other teams.  Son had a team where there were a number of new players and he wanted to work on new things so he registered for silver in PLD.  The TD then contacted the coach and told him based on his gotsoccer he could not be in silver and had to play gold.  TD's job is to put on a competitive tournament not to just honor all request.

No on to the OK team.  So who knows this group?  They are either trophy hunting to boost that gotsoccer ranking or they were scared to step into the ring with the big boys.  Either way all I can say is S.O.F.T. Now I am starting to question that number 3 ranking.  Maybe a little slipping and sliding to minor tournaments to boost up your gotsoccer points?

Oh and to the elite played up all the time people. Yes we did and were never welcomed with open arms either. So you can look back at all of the hate we recieved for doing it and copy and pastes. Oh and "you guys are no SRSA" thats when you know you have really arrived when they hit you with that one. So let me be the first lol. keep up the great work. Great coach and group of girls

OFC played Michael Brown in January and lost 0-2 to DT Red, 1-4 to Elite, 1-3 to Feet, and tied FC Dallas Premier 0-0.

Almost all their points come from PLD tourney - 2-1 win over Lady Aztecs, SRFC 2-0, and 4-0 over DT White (all LH D3) and 2-1 over FC Dallas White, 4-0 over FCD WTX, and tied FC Premier 0-0.

Maybe the gold bracket is justified.

This solar team might be the real heir apparent to the great srsa team. We just had to skip a year to see greatness again.

I am calling out the ENTIRE state of Oklahoma (except the university of Oklahoma)  they are soft like charmin.  Their top teams sneak into NTX and duck the big dogs.  OFC players lay awake at night thinking about what it would be like to play for a real coach (said in my Mr T voice).

Looks like they fixed the brackets. Switched the 05 team with Elite.

Now here is the kicker for bracket A. I think the athleticism of feet will be too much for pulp. If there is a upset it could be pulp v scott. Pulp will be organized and scotts scoring troubles could bite them here. This would throw the bracket into chaos
