You mean committed parents right? Committed 5 year olds is an oxymoron. Good luck though, I hope you can corner the top 5 year olds in NTX?

seriously . Honestly almost laughed myself onto the floor with this thread. 2011??? committed??? I think that just means the kid isn't literally picking flowers during practice. Plus, do you really want committed parents at this age?? Doesn't that scare you a bit to have "committed" parents for 5 yr old soccer??? Good lord, what does that even look like??

Weak sauce.... This is how you post for 5 year olds:
"Each player can execute every skill and technique and have been for over a year - scissors, step overs, zico's, l-turns, bring downs (juggle in the air to trap), etc., and can one-touch and two-touch pass without hesitation at varying distances.
They are assigned homework at the beginning of each month and at the end of each practice.
Players on both teams already understand each position and their role.
They are all taught to do the right things by how and when to pass, how and when to beat a player, and are not permitted to aimlessly play kick ball, use their toe, or do anything else that is detrimental to their development just for the sake of a win or goal.
Challenge your daughter and be part of a team full of technically skilled players."

I remember Solar 06 McDaniel started like this. It was funny to think of them being so young. Then again I imagine it was funny to them how easy everyone was to beat two years later.

Now that I think about it. Every girl that started that team is still playing and I'll just say are still strong players in this area and the other half of that team was boys and are for the most part also strong boys on several of the top boys teams in this area... all spread between 06 and 05 boys and girls.

No harm in looking for committed 5 year olds if there are any. I have a 6 who thinks she likes soccer and her 15 year old sister plays select.
But I was curious, at what age do these girls generally start engaging toward commitment? My 01 started playing competitive in 5th grade. She is pushing to have her little sister get into academy now, but the truth is that the 1st grader has fun coming home from school and acting like a 1st grader. For now, she plays rec and has a really good coach.
