LHGCL is running JDL, a league which excludes all but 5 clubs. Who wants to stand on their head and explain to me which part of the English language I do not understand?

Those bylaws extend to LHGCL only. LHGCL simply administers JDL. They are under separate governing bodies.

I'm just padding my stats at this time.

so - if JDL is all about the better week-to-week competition . . .

make the (JDL) Premier league entirely qualification based - best teams in (and you could still do 75% rule to retain a team bye similar to the current LHGCL rules) no byes retained by a club, no club preferences

problem solved - LHGCL has a Premier league of the most competitive teams (and can apply any and all LHGCL rules as they see fit)

and let's be honest - allowing a club to retain a bye and fill it with players who never earned the bye is providing preferenital treatment to larger clubs over independents


that is - if they are REALLY interested in better week-to-week competition

LHGCL has done that as long as they have been in existence and the large clubs have dominated LHGCL.

A new league formed as a non profit focused on the interests of players and teams instead of clubs wouldn't need to exclude anyone. By definition such a league would be merit based and open to any that are good enough to gain entry. Lake highlands in its heyday was such a league. It was respected nationally and a source for scouts. It lost its way when the league sold its soul to club interests over the last decade. Best thing for NTX soccer would be clubs kill it off so something new can grow in to replace it once clubs price enough families out of the market with more "elite", pay-check only qualifier league$.

I don't totally agree that it was all the clubs doing. LHGCL had a lot to do with their fall.

Just need about 10 fields, no customer service, no spine and complete apathy. That should make you stand out enough to do really well.

Keep drinking the Kool aid and all your problems go away....money is the game we play...ask Zizou he is the expert of the reindeer folly.. instead of 2 games we might see the same players in 3 or 4 games. Basically development is even more watered down...you can't have 2 masters.

Sounds great! Now all you need to do is convince a couple thousand parents in NTX that it's a better option for their kids than the currently established pipelines to the YNT and College programs...

All of the above.....until this format is eliminated I'm not buying any of the proganda For Real...if you want to pay some of that scholarship money for the next 6 years go for it...my DD isn't worried about the later than the present of the love of the game and getting better....
