It appeared Fcd rested their starters today or missed their key players to school conflicts. Ok team was a clean kick ball team with kicking and screaming coach. I wouldn’t let my dd near him.

I love our coach. Has had his A license since 1996. Sent too many girls to college scholarships over the years to even count while playing in SRPL. Don't confuse his volume with being a kicking and screaming coach. He couldn't be more opposite.

FCD ECNL has a very short bench to start with. If they had 2-3, pretty sure that's the full team these days.

Seems like you're under the impression that, 1) you know me, 2) you know what I do, 3) that I have some interest in the 05 "defeeters" (sheish), and 4) that some of those kids are insane. While I wouldn't bet that #4 is valid, I can assure you Sir that #s 1-2 are unequivocally false ... as for #3, I must admit I do like a lot of those kids ... spent some time today with coach discussing them Wink

Dropped the final match to Solar ECNL 0-2. That's it for our first DIGC tournament experience. Conceded 3 goals in 3 games and scored 0. Pretty obvious where our opportunities to grow are, which is why I laugh every time we get called a kickball team. Hopefully getting DA will attract some talent that can help us out. Looks like the Celtic won today so good luck to them!

This Dash-Feet game is a good one.
Other than Dash not going through as a wildcard (their tie in the 30 minute game will seal their fate unless other results break their way) it looks like most all the faves will be playing tomorrow: the best teams from Quakes, Sting, FCD, Texans, Feet, and Solar all will top their group.
Is been a mess of a tourney so far, but form held and the weekend will be a fun battle of high quality soccer.

You realize as the soccer players get better they are more apt to easily defend and break down a kick ball team. So you may have just pointed out what some have said...

Lots of experts on this blog. At the end of the day 2005’s 12 year old girls 6th and 7th Graders... all have lots to learn, and it’s a lot of fun to see them play and get better. We enjoy playing non California Teams, even if it’s “ speed style soccer “ Win for Quakes 3-0 vs FC Dallas .

The 30 minute games were ridiculous,but I understand the tourneys hands were tied, and for the most part, the better teams generally made it through.
The knockout rounds should be great. Probably 5 of the top 20 teams in the country all mixed in. Quakes and Solar should have a manageable path to the semifinals, but the other two quarterfinals and then both semifinal games should be absolutely outstanding.

Was so relieved to see good style of soccer from Cali. But will not be good enough to win it all. DT , Feet and Solar are too are too physical and skilled to handle. No surprise with the 3-0 result in this one.

Lots of good teams in Texas to be sure, And NJ as well. We have met them before in Surf cup - Sting 05 , also our 04’s in Surf 2017! Our girls are looking forward to the next games. Texas Rocks

I watched that game. Dash was lucky to come out with the tie. Only score was on a PK and other than that not many shots on goal.

Quakes 5-0 (watched them dismantle FCD ECNL, Quakes keeper never touched ball with her hands.)
Texans 4-1 (FCD Loss of talented midfielder showing)
Feet 1-0 (toughest one to call)
