9v9 for 2010's?

So I've seen Arlington and Plano offering 9v9 for the u9 age group.
Just curious what everyone's thoughts are on this? I know a handful have went 7v7 this past season while some are just making that transition from 4v4. Are teams really going to make the jump to 9v9 already?

Seems to be that way. Which has made practices very interesting.

Here we go again... USSF mandates lasted a couple years, now it seems everyone has to rush to start playing a format ahead of the kids ages.
