And who did the Dallas Kicks piss off? Why is the #3 team in N Texas, #2 in Classic get placed in the second tier? Not that it matters because they wouldn't get an invite anyways, but it is insulting.

What message does this send to not only the Kicks players, but all of the teams, coaches and players of North Texas?

It sucks for U15 North Texas teams that were waiting for this tournament qualifier.The Bobby Rhine its also a non qualifier for U15 non-North Texas teams.We saw that and decided not to register team to neither

AND WHAT IS GOING ON IN U-15 THAT ONLY THIS AGE GROUP RECEIVES THE NORTH TEXAS PENALTY??

1. Teams that will qualify for the 2019 Dr Pepper Dallas Cup XL will be the following:

a. U12 Boys – any team team that wins the Red (top) division

b. U13 Boys – any team team that wins the Red (top) division

c. U14 Boys – any team team that wins the Red (top) division

d. U15 Boys – any NON – NORTH TEXAS (NTSSA) team that wins the Red (top) division

e. U16 Boys – any team that wins the Red (top) division

UPDATE from the Oklahoma Energy Central's application to the Dallas Cup - OOPS I MEAN- DTSC FALL FESTIVAL. (Did I say that out loud??)

Dreams do come true even for selection committees as OK Energy have a direct path toward, and will win  the tournament and the invitation to the DALLAS Cup.  

It's a shame that Chelsea East didn't play, but I don't blame them as they probably read the fine print. From what I saw, CE could beat OK Energy 2 out of 3 times.

To the rest of the NORTH TEXAS teams thank you for paying your tournament fees.

That is right upper95, my prediction was wrong.  

OPINION:
BUT, let's not lose sight of the DTSC FF AND/or DALLAS CUP's agenda which was the arbitrary decision to single out ONLY THE U-15s and not offer the invitation for winning the tournament.

ASK YOURSELF:
Was this a Dallas Texans/Hasan Nazari decision? Seems unlikely that they would penalize their own teams.
Was this a Dallas Cup decision???
Which U-15 North Texas teams are they deliberately trying to avoid?  

Think of it,  only the U-15s were singled out? Why??

If it wasn't for this- I wouldn't be asking.

Not sure the reasoning for this age group being shafted out of an opportunity to get the Dallas Cup spot. But they did the same thing last year for the U-15 age group in both Texans Fall Festival & Bobby Rhine tourney.

Not sure why there is so much love for non-local teams. If you remember last year the OK Energy 04s were beaten in the group stage by a D3 team now D2. FC premier yellow who are now Falls Town FC. The local D3 team went on to win the fall festival tourney and get Dallas cup spot. And even with OK Energy not making it out of the group stage they were still rewarded with a Dallas cup spot in the Unvision Deportes Showcase group ...

Baffling to me.

Thanks for saying that NTX-FootyFan and for reminding us of Falls Town great run last year.
They seemed to have opted out this year as well. Usually a team will want to defend their title, but why risk injury.

So it's not just me that thinks this is odd?

This hasn’t been the case for this age group for as long as I can remember. If you’re able to find the old lists of accepted teams from the past, you’ll see most of the top local U15 teams don’t mess with DTFF or the BR for this reason. I’ve always wondered why this particular age group though. What’s the difference between U15 and say U16-U18?

It was atleast the case for last years season for the U15 age group. No DC qualification for U15 age if it was a NTX winner.

Believe OK energy won fall festival & sporting United Bobby Rhine.

Sporting was runner-up to Tigres 03 from Mexico I believe. The field is much deeper for BR this year around in the 03s.

Still find that odd how this one age group is singled out the last year and this year.

It’s because all 3 local DA teams get an automatic bid. So that it’s not all local teams in DC spots. It was changed to allow non local teams a spot for DC.

Does the Classic League still get an automatic invitation?

Yes they do. It seems like the DA teams get a bid no matter what age group though. And typically the top FCD team (more likely the Premier team) gets a bid as well regardless of whether they win the league.

Yes, the FC Dallas team should get the automatic invite because it has the word "Premiere" in their name.

We have a major problem in NTX and that is the whole system is being run by old NTX relics like Ray Hirshowitz. Example during Summer Festival this director said two teams that have been in Classic D3 for at least 3 seasons deserve to be in silver division even though they ranked in the top ten on Gotsoccer but then this same directtor puts a recently promoted team to D3 in gold bracket.....I mean what justification could he have for that? Last season they were playing in Plano and did well in Challenge tourny and they get gold division?

The beauty of it is they never tell you the criteria so you can never hold their feet to the fire. You will continue to see them give preference to teams from South Texas and out of state teams....why? Only they know..... but smells like a rat.
