Next Season Speculation

So now that we can tie a bow on this Season with 08 McKinney clearly being the top group. What are everyone’s thoughts on next year with a new leagues being formed and teams in Classic league? What teams a will continue to improve by adding a players? Will Solar McKinney stay on top? What group will fall off from this year? Discuss.

I think its going to be crazy with the new league. The boys that played DA this year against competition a year older will be at a distinct advantage. FCD will rework their rosters as will all the big clubs, so next year guarantees to look different than 2018-19. I'm excited to see how it goes. With regard to Classic league I think that its going to be a watered down version of this year, which was a watered down version of years past.

In my opinion Classic league has run its course. The quality of the facilities for the 9v9 clubs are just above playing in a community park, the fire ant hills that come up mid calf on our boys, and the crazy uniform and warmup rules make it nearly unbearable. Not being able to warm up your goalie inside the 18?!? I guess that spots reserved for golf cart parking. Trying to get a game moved is impossible, no respect for the teams or the coaches, this is what you get when competition leaves the marketplace. Are you telling me that with all of the money CL has made over the years that they can't afford to turf those fields, or put lights up? Also trying to get out of that parking lot takes like 45 minutes, and getting text messages about parents yelling at baseball coaches, unsubscribe.

It’s too early to tell I think. Still a lot of tryouts, open practices for almost a month. Plus, we don’t know the plans for current teams with the new pre DA league. FC Dallas has been hush hush with their current group of 08 boys that played up in u12 DA this year. I would think they would drop to the pre DA league, but you never know. If pre DA takes 2 teams per club, then I assume those kids plus suarez would make up the FCD pre DA program. Solar McKinney and the old solar south 08 boys would make up solar pre DA, and the Texans pre DA would be made up of the group of 08’s that played u12 Texans DA this year as well as Texans Salazar??

If that’s the case I would rank those teams this way
1. FC Dallas pre DA top team
2. Solar McKinney pre DA
3. Solar South pre DA
4. FC Dallas Suarez pre DA
5. Texans top pre DA team
6. Texans Salazar

After that, classic league landscape will change completely. I think the level of play will go way down next year. Top 2 will be allegiance and kicks. Then there may be a huge drop off from there

I would like to redact my previous rankings and move the Solar South DA team (bates) down to the bottom of the rankings based on their performance this weekend at supercopa. Didn't win a single game in their bracket, and then lost semifinal of bronze divisiion 4-0
