96G Scores from Saturday 10/23

I know that any suggestions that I may have will fall on deaf ears at LH. They don't take too kindly to individual people telling them how to run their league. I figure the only way this rule will be reconsidered is to get enough team & club support. Regardless of whether your dd's team was affected this past weekend, ask your club to get involved. If you agree with me that the rule is inequitable, don't wait around until it impacts your dd's team. The next opprotunity to make a change is the summer 2011.

It would be interesting to see what the scores of the games were when they were called due to weather and what they end up being after replay. Were any of the outcomes changed due to being replayed?

The games being replayed:

FC Dallas vs Dallas Texans Red
Texans Red West vs Solar Gold
Texas Spirit North vs Sting Royal
ASG White vs Andromeda

On Saturday ASG 2, Andromeda 0 when the game was called.

At replay ASG 0, Andromeda 1 final score.

Ding, ding, ding...I think we found our first poster who's dd benefited from the rule #2420. Make sure if your dd ever finds herself on the wrong side of this rule, and she comes to you with tears in her eyes, that's what you tell her. But this really isn't about who benefited and who got the short end of the stick. It is about the inequality of the rule. And I would welcome your support in getting it changed going forward, so you don't have to have the "life is not fair" conversation with your dd. 

What is fair? Something along the lines of "75% of game played equals full match" ?

If you read my previous post on this subject, you will see my purposed solution (too much to re-type).

I saw it... so basically it would be up to the losing team to decide if they want to come all the way back out on a reschedule night to play whats left of the match....

It seems so simple and logical I wonder why it wasn't made the rule when LH changed it a few years ago?

Deciding what is a fair rule is difficult due to field conditions at some of the venues we play at and game time conditions. I'm referring to the uphill-downhill lies and wind conditions.

If it is not why are you calling me and my DD out Dr.Phil. I guess your DD's team must have been the team that was on the verge of a "first lucky win of the season". My point was exactly that "life is not fair". Of coarse your agenda has mislead you into being a Jackrass! So you missed my point.

The DOCs of your clubs voted for this rule. That is why it got changed by LH. You need to speak to them if you do not like it. It was brought to the LH Advisory committee which they all sit on and voted on for change.

#2420-My apologies to your dd. After reading my prior post, I see that I omitted a very important word-team-between "dd & benefitted". I never intended to single out your dd, because we should never do that here. 

That being said, I was calling you and the absurdity of your post out. Had your dd's team not benefited from the rule, I'm sure you would not have felt the same way. The rule that allows a whole game to be replayed if there is any time left on the clock, when it is called, is wrong. Now, thanks to slipkid, we know who to talk to and how to get the rule changed. If you and everyone that sees this post will ask their DOC's for a rule change, LH would at least have to consider it.
