Dallas Morning News Girls 4A Preview
Dallas Morning News Girls 4A Preview
Carrollton Creekview
Frisco Wakeland
Denton Ryan
Richardson Pearce
Waxahachie
I'm okay with these teams except for Waxahachie. No love for McKinney North, Highland Park, Rockwall or Forney. These 4 teams all shared or won their district championship.

Was most impressed with the overall composure of the girls... never seemed to be ruffled or losing control of the situation.
So which one of the girls on the team is yours?

Re: Dallas Morning News Girls 4A Preview
* JJ Pearce is formidable but not the state championship team of the past two years. I would still expect to see them in the first few playoff rounds.
* Highland Park can score. It's probably a coinflip between HP and Carrollton Creekview in terms of the district powerhouses. CC has strong goal keeping. I wouldn't be surprised to see either of these teams creeping up into the state level playoffs.
* Denton Ryan may surprise some teams.
* There's also an outstanding team out of Amarillo that made it to the quarters last year. I don't remember the name but wouldn't count them out.

Birdville beat Mineral Wells last night 6-0. They now hold the 4A state record for shutouts at 22 in a single season. Next game against Burkburnett.

Congrats on that... impressive stat for sure. My kiddo has a few friends on the Birdville team, a very impressive squad. I thought you all handled WF Rider pretty well in your pre-season tourney, and I agree, a Rider v Ryan meeting will be quite a match.

Thanks. Unfortunately, my DD suffered her knee injury in that pre-season tourney and didnt get to play Rider that night. Its been a good ride for the girls. She hates not being out there. I think Ryan will beat Rider. Ryan is running on all cylinders and their squad of 6-7 juniors that play club ball together are very strong. I see them doing very well in the playoffs.

I believe you are talking about Canyon Randall. They lost in the state semifinals last year.
