Let the fool talk!
ASG Black - Sting has been recurring the coach for years and he finally went. (There were some other things going on.) Prior to going he signed release letters for all the players and almost the entire team went with him him to Sting. I think they only lost a couple of players.
ASG Gold - they went to Longhorns and then things fell apart. A lot of good players are now trying other teams.
Solar - I'm not sure what's going on over their since the financial situation. I've heard they are consolidating teams and I'm not sure what's happening to the players who don't make the first team.
FC Dallas - I see they are looking for some players.
I've spoken to other coaches at the D3 level and nobody knows whats going to happen. It looks like the ECNL teams ( D1 teams ) are doing fine, however teams that were D2 / D3 seem to have more volatility then in years past. There might be a couple of reasons why this is happening. First, there's a lot of movement within LHGCL. Teams leaving to play ECNL, teams moving up and players using this as an opportunity to go from D3 to D1. Some girls could be getting burnt out. Lot's of school work, playing for their High School team, boys, and other things are now pulling the girls in different directions. Some might be realizing this is not what they want to do and dropping out. Surprisingly, when I talk to other coaches they're not sure what's going to happen to their team. In past years the coaches have a pretty good idea who's going and who's staying. This year a lot of coaches are not sure whats happening.
It will be very interesting to see what happens.

In the business world we call it F.U.D. Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt. I think F.U.D. got the best of the ASG Gold team which I don't blame the parents. When you have to sign a year contract and the money involved - it puts a lot of pressure on the system.
I know some on the ASG Gold team and they are good people. I wish them the best.
