05 Teams with Practice in Lewisville/Flower Mound

What are some teams to look at that practice in Flower Mound/Lewisville? Also when do you give up your GLASA team? Is it possible to do both Academy and Rec for a season or 2?

Texas Spirit North 04s practice at the FM YMCA on Tues and Thurs from 4:45 to 6PM

05s are welcome.

we did academy and rec for a year but gave it up since rec field was smaller and started slowing development. also top kids had moved on so competition level was down.

If anyone is looking for a great club and a fantastic coach in Freddy deleon tbg just merged with meja soccer club they are based out of garland and practice in Richardson right now tues & thurs from 6-7 and I know they are looking for a few 05 girls.

Lot of Flower Mound, Highland Village, Lewisville come to GameOn in Denton to practice with AFC. I believe the 05 AFC team practices at Denton Guyer HS.

You can definitely play both for a year or so. Lots of times kids leave the rec leagues to early and all of a sudden get tied up in this win at all cost mentality. I'd recommend trying out a couple of different clubs and coaches (I've heard good things from some of the older girls at my school about Keri Baker but I don't know how she is with younger kids) and still keep playing another year or so in Rec.

The key is to keep the game fun while still teaching them the technical skills they will need. I know my youngest liked playing in rec because there were more opportunities to score and at this age that's important. Now as they get older its not going to help them but at this age it's understandable and keeps the kids interested.
