DA or no DA I would expect us to stay with the same coach we’ve had since we were in academy at what U8 or U9? I think the closest we came to losing him was when we switched to calendar birth year. We had 7 04’s and 7 05’s. He stayed with us, the 05’s. I could be wrong but I see him staying with us until college and since he coaches college, I bet a couple of our girls sign with him even after club ball.

I've heard they are announcing the new invites next week, but only the rumor. I would be surprised if OEFC received a bid for both Boys and Girls and even if they did it will not be the entire club or every age group. I think if a bid(s) are extended to OEFC it could be something similar to what the Houston Rise received last year. They received a bid for the u12 boys and u13 girls pilot age groups. Regardless of the number of age groups awarded, each year the DA will consider the club for additional age groups.

I think the Norman Celtic coach leads the team at OBU in Shawnee.

I went to A&M, my wife went to Baylor. All of our family is still there. My daughter’s dream school is A&M, she got to meet coach G at our practice a while back. Our coach is old friends and A&M signed one of our coach’s older girls.

You can keep all the Okie jokes coming, just want you to know they are falling on deaf ears.

No joking. I really have never heard of those schools or towns. Just not so desperate for my dd to get an athletic scholarship to go to one of those schools. I'm more than certain they are fine institutions for the right kinds of kids.

Most of the kids from CA that play D1 don't need scholarships to play. Colleges love those players. They don't like paying for school.

You think they will choose an equal talent versus a paying student your crazy. If your kids gets to play college ball period is the goal if that's their desire.

Well said, definitely wouldn't want my kids looking at small NAIA school for soccer that doesn't have much to offer academically. Maybe this coach just uses his teams as a feeder program to his own school. What style of play would you say your coach/team plays Okie?

Not sure how this turned into questions about my daughter’s coach. Lol. I was just looking to see if anyone knew when the DA might be announcing.

If you are really interested in my daughter’s coach, he’s been coaching at USAO both men’s and women’s for nearly 20 years. His bio is on the school site. His club girls go to small and big schools every year despite not being in ECNL or DA.
