US Men Soccer out of Olympics

The sad thing is - El Salvador ties it up 5 minutes into a 4 minute overtime - on a defensive lapse and shot that wouldn't have made it past most '04 goalies.
Officiating left a bit to be desired. Replay showed the referee looking at an El Salvadorian player put a forearm hit to an American as he entered the penalty box earlier in the game. Drew blood and should have drawn a red card - but all the player got was some boos.

Bottom line for me is the midfield and defenders did a terrible job of defending in all the games. How can you give up that many goals and expect to get a good result.
