I was wondering with select just right around the corner is it possible to hire a skills coach and they not try and recruit your daughter? Who is the best skills coach around? I would prefer if you know because you child has worked with him or her, however any names would be appreciated..Oh and let me say again, i don't want to be recruited..lol She plays for spirit 02's and we are not looking to jump ship..we love us some coach Peter..It was suggested to me that i look into some extra skills training for her, She can kick the heck out of the ball and has heart on the field..I guess one could say we want to fine tune the natural ability she has..thanks in advance..

Jeremie Piette at Global Futbol Training has skills classes, private and group training. He is a great guy and my 04 DD loves him. At least its an option you could check out. Good luck

My DD and some of her team have gone through the coerver skills classes. Rick Moss is the Director.Very well ran and disciplined. They currently do their sessions at Blue Sky in Keller, although I believe they have other locations. Here is the web address:

My '03 dd trains with Street Soccer Academy. They do a variety of sessions- skills, 11v11 tactical, shooting and finishing, 3v3 games and soccer tennis.

Before working with them she was a bit burned out on soccer, but they have rekindled her love of the game.

All the stuff we do with them is in the Lake Highlands area so the drive might be an issue, but our family thinks the coaches and their philosophy are worth it!

I have become a big believer in futsal training and game play, and specifically City Futsal, to augment standard soccer skills learned from your soccer team's coach. The girls get a different experience. Its not easy to control a tiny ball that doesn't stop rolling or slow down. Futsal is a sport that absolutely demands player movement off the ball, excellent balance, quick feet, deft skill, keeping your head up, and smart decision making.

Here's their website: http://cityfutsal.com

You could give Glotz a call. He's good but he might quit on you before the season gets started...

My 02 has gone to Jeremy with GFT and loved him. Currently she is going to Alex Ramirez from Quest United. He got her up to speed when she first came out of rec a couple years ago, and she still loves going to him for lessons to this day. He is fantastic with our DD even though she moved to a different club last summer.

Coerver is a great program.
I believe they have one in Frisco as well
Also I heard that training will be offered
at the arena in Euless
my daughters have gone to the one in Keller
and they loved it. I recommend it.. It has
taught my daughter confidence as well as skill
and pace off the ball

All are great suggestions , thank you parents for the info. Gonna weigh options and money. Haha;) it's nice to know that good info can come from this forum. So many times I want to post or ask question but don't in fear of the trolls and conflict that sometimes take over . Have a great day;}
