Top 15 Ranking 3/27/12

These rankings are based on my opinion, which just happens to be the most intelligent opinion! Feel free to bash and post your own, but my rankings will still be the best!

Tier 1
1. LP RASE- they r at least 4 goals better than the next tier.

Tier 2
2. DTN Manchester- I think they could take Doyle and Kennington..very skilled!
3. DT Doyle- very talented group....hottest moms also!
4. Solar Kennington- have taken a small step back with loss of stud to RASE.

Tier 3
5. Fever Red- has the talent to compete with tier #2, but just to inconsistent.
6. DTN Deleon- #3 Texans team, but coaches dd and big forward could play on either top team.
7.LP Keegan- also inconsistent, but has the athletes and 3 "x"Daglish(RASE) players and has beaten LP Daglish(Beardsley) last 2 times.
8. Sting Goldman- I'll be honest...never seen play but they are competing with Doyle and DTN up in 03 Div.
9. TX Spirit- very good team, has tied both Keegan and Daglish.
10. LP Daglish(Old Beardsley)- very talented and skilled group and pass very well, but a little on the small side...new 05 from RASE will make them tougher.
11. LP Barnes- has a "dog" for a coach...Haha...couldn't resist. Very talented team..moving up.

Tier 4
12. Lady Aztecs- I guess you could put Juventus Black here also...I hear they share players but I don't know for sure. Either way both teams look good.
13. DT South- play good def , but need a good scorer(who doesn't want one..Duh).
14. Tx Spirit North Red- kinda falling, but have some really good player and good coach so they will be ok.
15. Solar White Kennington- hanging tough in SDL.

If I missed your team I'm sorry...I probably haven't seen them and if they catch my eye I won't hesitate to put them in.

Tiers- tier above should almost always beat tier below, but teams in same tiers will be pretty competetive with each other and either team could win.

Wow you really think RASE is 4 goals better than the three teams under them. I would have to disagree completely with that. I think DT north rosales can beat Rase aswell as DT Doyle but I biased and I'm betting you are to. I do agree with your top six though and I think that the top six could beat each other on any given day.

Most of the order is good but the tiers are incredibly off as they give the idea of different levels of play. To say DT South is level 4 and a level below your Tier 3 is insane considering they tied fever, lost to keegan by 1, tied dalglish, and beat Barnes, and lost to DT Deleon by 1 all in their last matches. Clearly they belong in the same group as these teams. Sting has NO point of reference against any of the other top teams yet so this is further “bogusness”.

I would tier it like this:

Tier 1: (In Order)
LP RASE
DTN Manchester
DT Doyle

Tier 2: (No particular order)
Solar Kennington
Fever Red
LP Keegan
DT Deleon
DT South
LP Dalglish
TX Spirit
LP Barnes
Juventus

Any of these tier 2 teams can beat each other on any given day. This group is that close. I expect to see more separation by Fall as there have been many recent changes in these teams.

Tier 3:
Sting
Aztecs
TX Spirit North
Kicks

To add the obvious, what is sad is that outside a few of the teams in tier 2, none of these teams are playing each other to valaidate any rankings. Very sad that none of the teir 1s play each other and that none of the tier 2s get a shot at the teir 1s. I guess we will just have to hope for good tournaments and a change in leagues this fall.

How long until someone creates an offering that pulls all these teams together into some sort of super league of some sort... Without creating another league!

Well, if most of these teams are playing against similar competition and are able to play meaningful games that are helping them to develop, its probably not necessary. Doubt the coaches are too worried about the parent rankings. If there are teams that do not have this, guess its up to them to find a league that has teams that will challenge them

It would be interesting to see an analysis of point differential by league.

Why doesn't Coach Deleon arrange a scrimmage with RASE?

Is DT Deleon the Old Texas Black Gold? Im not familiar with DT Doyle either....anyone know. Thanks

I would pay for ref and field to see DT Deleon play any other top team. Not because I think that Deleon would win but because the Deleon team will impress the opponent.

Not for sure, but I believe some of these teams including DT Deleon and RASE are playing some PYL games. They may play each other. Someone close to those teams may know if a game is scheduled. I know RASE played another '04 team not even on this list a few weeks ago in PYL and it was more competitive than their EAL '03 games.
