Summer Camps
Re: Summer Camps
I have heard good things of the Jato camp at TCU, we might go down this year to check it out during the summer. Otherwise we are going to escape the heat and go to Steamboat for a week long camp out there in mid July.Madmom wrote:Anybody out there have a good soccer summer camp suggestion?

Re: Summer Camps
Our DD went to the Day Camp a couple of years ago at SMU, held in Ford Stadium. Impressive but a wide variety of skill levels and those with more skills had fewer girls in their groups. Well run and nice to be at Ford. DD is doing the Resident Camp this year as will be 12 in Aug.

Tatu All-Star Camp (residential) in Longview has good ratings & facilities.

Julie Foudy Soccer Camp - focus is on soccer skills/tactics with top level female players (Julie was on US team for 17 yrs)also focuses on leadership development/positive role model. Thinking about this for next year. Very impressive but camp locations are all over US. Camp close to Napa Vally looks great!

My dd is going to the A&M camp for the first time this year. She is also attending the No. 1 Soccer Camp for her 3rd year. it is at UD and is a terrific camp. http://www.no1soccercamps.com

What age group?
If you are talking academy age I suggest trying out the camps of the teams you might have your dd play for in the future.
