Re: Scores 4/29
What was the reason for the Kicks no goal in the first half? Also, the Kicks no goal in the closing seconds of the 2nd half?
I had the game 5-2 Kicks. To say that this officiating crew had a rough day would be an understatement.
Thank you,

Mistakes were made. They always are. No worries. It was a great game.

Both coaches saw the 1st 1/2 "no goal" actually go in, but the refs did not. Both coaches said something about being surprised it was a goal kick. At halftime, the ref told us she was going to count the goal, because she talked to her other linesman. Both of us (coaches) agreed that the goal should not have been counted because she didn't call it that way in the game. Even top refs make mistakes about whether a goal is scored (i.e., Chelsea game a few weeks ago...).
Plus, the 3rd goal the Kicks scored came after a foul on my last defender - Kicks coach agreed the foul should have been called. We (the coaches) figured everything was fair after those two opposite mistakes from the refs.
The goal at the end of the game didn't count because the ref had already blown her whistle to end the game.
But more importantly - it was a great game. I was really proud of how my girls played and the beautiful goals they scored, and the Kicks played well as usual. It's cool to see kids this young playing good soccer. This will be a great age group to follow as they get older!
