Predictions for 04 Legends Invitational

Anyone have any predictions for the 04 group for the Legends tourny this weekend? Looks like there is going to be some good games in group play.


Friday: DT North Deleon vs. Liverpool Keegan

Saturday: Tx Spirit North vs. DT North Deleon
Tx spirit North vs Liverpool Dalglish
Liverpool Keegan vs an up and coming Liverpool Rednapp team

I'll pick Dalglish - Keegan Final.


That's if the rosters are the same from Spring season... If guest players for all teams who knows... Anything could happen.

I was at the game and yes it was very well played and hard fought game. The Texans team was down 2-0 with about 15 mins left and showed some heart by coming back to tie it up. I saw the Keegan team play last fall and looks like they have made some wonderful strides. They really move the ball around well and play fast. GREAT GAME to watch and the rest of the tourney should be fun to watch.

Looks like the semi's are all set.

Congrats also to Texas Spirit North Grey who beat FC Dallas - Dowell 2-1 in the silver final. Both team's semifinal games went to PK - some great match-ups and competition in this group.

I noticed Liverpool "Rush" but had not seen them earlier in the FBR rankings - did one of those teams change their name, or is this a new team?

Liverpool Rush 04 is a new team that just formed

They put together a nice group of talented girls - congrats on the win. The team seemed to come together well as the tournament progressed, turning an earlier loss to Allen Elite into a 1-1 tie in the semis. Good speed up front, and on D that gave the goalie some good protection.

Props to Allen Elite - giving up only 1 goal in 4 games.

I saw the LP 04G Rush team play a bit and was impressed. I was also very impressed with the LP 04G Redknapp team. They showed extremely well against some of the top 04 teams in the area.

Agree with your take on Redknapp! MUCH improved and playing well! The coach is great and done a great job with his girls!!

My understanding was Liverpool Rush 04

I got 2 confused - LP Rush - 1st Tournament together, big win over Tx Spirit North Grey, lots of talent on that team!

(Tx Spirit Grey came back after the loss - sorry)

Still a little confusing, so let me try to add some clarification. It was in fact Spirit North Grey that scored that one goal against Allen Elite to then go on and atone for an earlier loss by winning 2-1 in a double overtime, penalty kick, sudden death PK (I hope I'm saying that right) shootout. Grey gutted out the victory then went on to gut out a hard fought victory in the final against FC Dallas Dowell withstanding a hard charging FCD team down the stretch. If the comments were meant to describe the Liverpool Rush team they apply equally to Spirit North Grey - very good speed not only upfront, but also at center mid with tenacious defense on the back end and clutch goalkeeping in the final, including a diving save coming down the stretch in the final to help secure the victory. It is my understanding that it was Grey's first tournament together as well, but I could be mistaken.
