Teams that impressed me this weekend Empty Teams that impressed me this weekend

Post by scoregazam 28/05/12, 11:14 am

I was lucky enough to sit and watch quite a few games this weekend between my daughters games and I was really impressed with the development of quite a few that I have not seen in a while.

Solar Gio..... They are for real and deserve the top 10 ranking they have. Their defence is sound, midfield is quick and passes well, and they can finish. The little girl that plays outside right mid for them is a firecracker of a player. More time to gel and polish up on a few things and they could give any team out there trouble

Fever..... Didnt allow a goal in bracket play which is impresseive considering the heat (no mental lapses) and the wind. Gave Gio a good game in the finals. They will always be a force to be reckoned with as long as they are around

D'Feeters.....Got the job done... maynot have always been attractive soccer, but played hard and did what they needed to do to get the job done. They needed a performance like this, more so than any team playing due to their recent stuggles. If they pick up a few girls they could be back in the top 10 again.

Dynasty.... Watch out if this team learns how to finish 1/2 of the chances they are creating. Tons of speed on the field. They dominated the run of play against Solar Jones and San Angelo. Little blonde and little girl with glasses in Center D are quality, and their wings can flat out fly. Would love to see them play better teams.

Now we will see what happens over the summer. Who picks up players and who loses players. Who works hard at training or who takes some time off. Qualifying is right around the corner. I am excited to see how it all comes together.

Nice analysis 'gazam for all the teams. lol about Dynasty center Ds - we had defensive 2 starters out on vacation and made our wings and a center mid take turns back there all tourney. They are fearless and fast. Maybe we need to rotate them more if they don't learn how to finish better! Learning how to finish is our neverending project it seems. I couldn't see as many other games as you since my 99BB was challenging for classic in Dallas all weekend too, but I heard Fever and Gio were quite good.
