Craig Savage is a native of Columbia, South Carolina and a 1994 graduate of Duke University. As a youth, Craig played club and high school soccer and competed for the South Carolina Olympic Development team. While a varsity wrestler and club soccer player at Duke University, he earned a B.S. in Neuroscience and was named to the Iron Duke Academic All-Star Team. He went on to earn a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Georgia State in 2001.
Before Moving to Texas, Craig served as the Head Coach for both the Men’s and Women’s Soccer teams and Assistant Principal at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School in Atlanta, Georgia. During eleven years in there, Craig's teams won two State Championships and made two more Final Four appearances. He has coached players who have gone on to play at the collegiate and professional level. Additionally, he was on staff with Tophat Soccer Club and Georgia's Olympic Development Program, where he worked with players who would go onto make appearances for the US National Team. Craig has been a member of National Soccer Coaches of America Association and the US Soccer Coaches Organization. He holds a United States Soccer Federation National "A" Coaching license.
Currently Craig teaches and coaches varsity boys’ soccer at The Parish Episcopal School. Each year at Parish, he has led the Panthers to the playoffs, with final four appearances in 2008 and 2011. In addition to heading the Parish Boys’ Soccer program, he teaches Advanced Placement Biology and Advanced Placement Psychology.
Karen Savage is a native of Dallas, Texas and a 1994 graduate of Duke University. As a youth, Karen played club soccer for D’feeters and competed for the North Texas and Region III Olympic Development teams. Karen played four years for Duke University against the best competition in women’s soccer, one year reaching the NCAA Division I National Championship game. Karen has played with and against some of the best players in the world, including Mia Hamm, Kristine Lilly, and Julie Foudy. While at Duke, Karen earned a B.S. in English and was named to the ACC Honor Roll.
After college Karen competed semi-professionally with the Atlanta Classics of the USWISL, FC Dallas’ WPSL team, and currently plays for TFC’s WPSL team.
In Atlanta, Karen coached for Tophat Soccer Club and at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School. Many of the players she worked with went on to the collegiate level. Recently, she has been a player evaluator for North Texas ODP; and she has numerous connections with college coaches across the country.
Off the field, Karen is an Emmy-award-winning television/video producer, director and writer.
