TFC teams moving to Andromeda

I think it's disgraceful that Some TFC coaches would drop a last min bombshell informing parents yesterday that they are taking their teams to Andromeda. In principle I have no issue with coaches switching clubs but to announce this 2days before signing and leaving parents with very little options is the height of selfishness on their behalf.

I agree but what can parents do when "they got" you? I guess it’s all good if enough of the team stays intact…unless they want to re-qualify.

What teams are leaving?

Do you think it was because of the new uniforms?

Probably at least 6 teams, but I could be more, coach Wells and Grado are 2 of the coaches that I know for sure.

The new uniforms have nothing to do with it... Well I would hope something that trivial would not cause a walkout? Who knows anything is possible I guess when dealing with fragile ego's.

Why is it the "height of selfishness" on their part? Obviously there is something going on that makes them feel the move would be beneficial. And I suppose that you were intending to sign with them anyway, right? If everything else stays the same (coach, team members, general practice location) why wouldn't you still sign?

In our case we have 2 children playing for TFC, now we will be split between 2 practice locations. The new practice location has not even been confirmed yet, it could be 10 miles away from Stacy and 121.

What comes around goes around. Wells has always been a loose cannon and is not the type to work through any issues with TFC doc Puscarich. He's a my-way-or-the-highway coach. But Puscarich has always known this and has looked the other way on rogue coaches repeatedly. Look no further than Guzman for more proof of this. It was just a matter of time before the former two ran into irreconcileable differences.

What will be particularly interesting will be a coach like Wells once he's left to run amok under Powers. It's no secret that MP avoids disputes like the plague. And once the ex-TFC parents realize they'll be paying TFC prices that included two pretty nice field locations for Andromeda postage stamp sized practice spots, the complaints will start flying. This has disaster written all over it.

But regardless of the club affiliations, this was extremely poor form by the TFC coaches to make this move at the 11th hour. I could understand if it were in the works for a while, but it puts the parents and players in potential binds and reeks of colusion.

Hope the coaches get paid at Andro!! Lol

I heard the dues at Andromeda was very high. Plus no full time practice fields would be a negative in my book for a move to this club.

Adam and Charles betrayed TFC as well as the PARENTS. What choice did the parents have in the 11th hour? The teams had to go for their kids. Adam has always thrown his weight around and thrown fits to get what he wants. He is not a team player. He is only in it for himself and the MONEY. Adam betrayed Reagan too. He went behind Reagan's back and took the 02G with him that they co-coached together. Note the words co-coached. Wells is a class act. Adam probably twisted Charles arm into going so it could not all be blamed on him. This just shows their character or lack there of.

The TFC coaches that screwed the parents and players by going to Andscrewmeda at the last minute will fit right in with that bunch.

i love all you guys/gals who are bashing AW when you don't even know the facts of what happened, but that's become typical on this forum. take it from someone who is very close to this action, and has been around AW for several years, that this is no big deal for our team (players and parents). i'll give you a few facts, and some opinions, just so the more intelligent people on this forum can form their own opinion:

1. half the time we practiced in the dark, because Ed had so many teams out there.
2. we rarely had a half of field to practice on, so most of our practices were in a 30x30 area, once again because of too many teams (but Ed's teams always were in the lights).
3. and speaking of Ed, i bet he just gave himself a big raise with his new uniform deal. those uni's are crappy quality and much cheaper than nike or adidas, yet the cost for them (for us) was basically going to be the same.

so, go ahead, make your snide comments about AW and Andromeda, but after meeting with the president of the NEW Andromeda today, i feel pretty good about moving. like everything else, only time will tell.

All those reasonings seem a little petty to me to leave a club and parents hanging at the last second. Do the parents know of the price hike? If not it's going to be a huge surprise knowing TFC prices are suppose to stay the same.

I heard they were lured by Andromeda's new high tech training facility....

RosiePalms, I heard TFC will practice on the "back nine" at the old Andro complex. I saw AW with a big pair of bolt cutters to break off those locks.

Take A CHILL PILL before you blow a gasket!!!!! Since when has a North Texas Soccer Coach given a flying rats a$$ about anyone other than themselves. If you do not like the move then DON'T SIGN the contract, WOW what a concept. But when you have half a melon - that is all I would expect from whiners.

I heard the same. Not sure if all teams are similar in cost but the 98G team is $2900 plus uniform. I'm not sure what that covers but it seems a little high for a club without facilities.

When we played for the EGO, it was only $2300 plus kit.
