New Junior College Program Looking for Players
New Junior College Program Looking for Players

There are open tryouts on July 28 from 11 - 1. It's only two hours from Dallas and games are played in the East and South Texas area. The Coach is Lance Noble, who has most recently been Director of Coaching for San Antonio Soccer Association and has also coached at Stephen F. Austin.
The boys team is full, but girls need more players!

Tryouts are tomorrow at 11:00 am. This is a scholarship program. Please don't let the negative posters sway you otherwise - many college coaches at the Junior College and DIII level, in particular, move around often. If you want to play, and get a start on education, it shouldn't matter!
Really? I thought NJCAA colleges cant be scholarships?

According to the NJCAA website men and womens soccer have an 18 scholarships limit.

Re: New Junior College Program Looking for Players
Q: One NJCAA school can offer me a full scholarship, and one school can't offer me anything. Why?
A: Each institution belonging to the NJCAA can choose to compete on the Division I, II or III level in designated sports. Division I colleges (Paris JC is a Division I) may offer full athletic scholarships, Division II colleges are limited to awarding tuition, fees and books, and Division III institutions may provide no athletically related financial assistance. However, NJCAA colleges that do not offer athletic aid may choose to participate at the Division I or II level if they so desire.
There is no rule that I could find regarding the requirement to award equal scholarships to all players.
There is a limit of 18 total scholarships per team for soccer.
Hope this clarifies the discussion.

You didn't know scholarships could be given out? Explains why you aren't coaching college anymore.
