Seeding of 05 teams in CFBAL

Here's what the seeding looks like so far at CFBAL. Needing teams to round out divisions - there's still time to register, but once the divisions are at even numbers the next team to register will be wait listed until another registers.

CFBSA: Where is your '04 list of teams accepted to play in the league?

I was told Liverpool Keegan 04 is also playing CFBAL sunday's in addition to TGPL on Saturday's

Yes only if the player wants to. I dont see anything wrong with only wanting to play keeper. All our goalies train with the team and receive the same skills as field players because i know they can change their mind in a heartbeat.

Kinda hard to stop the other team from scoring w/o a goalie. IMO

Kinda hard to stop the other team from scoring w/o a goalie. IMO

5-6 year olds should not be placed in specializations. They should be playing in all positions of the field. These kids don't know anything about what they will want even two years from now. A full time keeper will get a fraction of the playing time and touches as a keeper who plays 1/2 in goal and 1/2 on field which is highly recommended until the dd is mature enough and has played both on field and in goal enough to know what she wants to really do... this is usualy not until U10.

A dd who goal keeps for 2 years and then decides she wants to field play will be FAR behind the players on the same team and will likely have to drop a level down in competition to try and catch up.

While there is certainly merit to what you're suggesting, a number of teams at U7 already have full time keepers. Is it developmentally what the almanac calls for? No, but then neither is 9v9 at U9 or 11v11 at U10. Tournament play in general, especially in the extreme heat, is arguably counter-developmental. Lots going on in the world of NTX soccer that might give one pause. We seem to be in such a hurry, for some reason. I will say this, though: the teams that play, and train, a full time keeper at an early age are generally more successful at keeping the ball out of the net than those that rotate willy-nilly. Should that matter? Of course not, but you're fooling yourself if you think it doesn't.

Heard an FC Dallas team jumped in as well. Not sure on division

FC Dallas DeWitt 05 has been added, very competitive group. will play either gold or silver

Sting West could easily be in the top division based on watching and playing against them in tournaments.

How did they do again st so of the top teams? Have they one any tournaments? Just wondering?

Without a doubt, and I think a strong case can be made for both LP Rush, who was competitive in EAL Gold this Spring, and American Eagles, who finished at the top of EAL Silver. From what I've seen, both teams are athletic and very well coached.

Here's the latest list of teams, I think you could say that about most of the gold division. What you don't know is if and how much roster turnover any one team has had. Better question is who is FC Dallas east Dewitt
