04 Primetime Fall Kick-Off
I would expect RASE to be heavily favored in this one.

agree, given the teams playing in this division. Curious why they are not playing up with the U10s and greater competition

I see Solar Ken 04 is playing up with the 03's. Why isn't RASE?

Re: 04 Primetime Fall Kick-Off
Many tournaments say if you play even 1/2 of a game and the tournament is cancelled due to rain, they keep the entire amount...50% credit or 25% cash is generous compared to some others.SoccerDad75033 wrote:New schedules posted, and cancelled less than 4 hours later. One game and Primetime keeps 75%.

But it is a shame that the girls didn't get to play - but Plano was able to get their Sunday games in, and even the Ok City tournament (where they got much more rain) was able to complete theirs. To say the the tournament was "cancelled due to rain" is a stretch - unless the fields really are so much worse than Plano.
It is usually the venue's decision and not the tournament's. For the city who manages the parks, they could really care less about the tournament and they error on the side of not “damaging” their fields.

Re: 04 Primetime Fall Kick-Off
So, either the fields in Carrollton are significantly less prepared to deal with what amounted to less than an inch of rain in mostly a downpour, or the city "could care less" and made a decision in the middle of the night without actually assesing the field conditions.

My suspicion is that they watched the 10 o'clock news, where the weather folks were saying it was going to rain and storm all day sunday....and don't ever change the channel by the way, cuz severe weather is just waiting to attack your house and you had better be watching your TV or your are going to die. By morning, the weather forcast had been updated to reflect only a 20% chance of rain, and as we know, it didn't rain at all on sunday. The tournament was cancelled at 11pm - before seeing the revised forcast.
