Garland soccer coach charged with sexual assault of a child

Just make sure GSA is actually paying US Club Soccer. I heard that Dallas East Soccer "switched" to US Club Soccer, collected $14 for US Club Soccer registration, but never registered the players with US Club Soccer. When DESA teams tried to play in sanctioned tournaments, U90C and US Club Soccer had to break it to the teams that they weren't ever registered/insured with US Club Soccer.

GSA has been paying North Texas. Some coaches and directors have found that North Texas does not follow its own by-laws and does not step in to help so many are ready to change.

Dallas East never paid North Texas in the fall of 2013. So, Dallas East took the registration money, but never paid North Texas and that left the kids uninsured that fall.

They are now with US Club Soccer. The coaches I am acquainted with love the program. Dallas East is registering with and paying US Club Soccer at this time as far as I know.

I have been told US Club is growing rapidly in South Texas and in Dallas East as well.

I was on the board and I am aware how terribly corrupt Garland Soccer is.  I went to North Texas, Regional and US Youth Soccer for help.  Garland is a mess and the parent organizations just do not follow their own by-laws and are of no help.  I did everything humanly possible to advocate for the coaches and kids of Garland.  The thread linked below will explain where it stands now.  

I hope Garland Soccer will get in new leadership while there is still something left to save.  I am not running as I am a whistle-blower trying to clean it up.  

GSA's registration numbers usually see a huge increase from fall to spring.  This soccer year GSA shrunk from 234 -207 teams in a pretty much booming local economy.  Many of the coaches and parents are simply fed up!  There is an explanation.....Arciniega!

And, here we go again.  Rolando Ramos, a Chamber Classic coach has hurt our kids and Garland is being questioned as he played all his games this season on Garland fields and is listed on the GSA website as a team scheduled on the Garland fields.  

I gave 2 interviews to the media.  NTSSA and Garland Soccer are not doing what they promised.  After Bernardo Mondragon-Guzman there was talk of doing and changing.  The secondary background check is nothing more than feel good nonsense as 95% of predators will pass a background check.  There have been no changes to policies and procedures, no further education of our coaches and parents and no increase in oversight.

As a parent of 2 girls, it's disturbing to see that this child was left in a vulnerable and dangerous situation to begin with. What is more important than our kids? Many are saying that the parents should be held accountable, but the damage that they will have to reconstruct is probably better time spent than being behind bars, etc. Others need to learn from that level of negligence and assure themselves/ourselves that we never put our own kids in that kind of position.

Apparently, North Texas State Soccer Association has been paying the attorney (that just bailed from the case) with the association's (charity's) funds.  The member associations need to take a stand about this misuse of the money.  The money should be going for programs for the youth and adults playing soccer and not for defending their errant, dishonest director, David Arciniega.  Charity dollars at waste!

I fought hard to do more to keep the kids safe.  Why not put that money toward that!

I was around GSA for 20+ years. David Arceniega is without question, the biggest slime ball I have ever come across in the soccer world, he makes Hilary Clinton look like mother Teresa.

Putting aside the Sex Crimes, the missing funds, the bogus elections, he just conducts himself in a way that is slimy. He has surrounded himself with slime ball constituents, and it is quiet easy to tell which one those are, if they have been on the board for over 8+ years, then they are one. Those that don't follow him blindly, are pushed out.

The City of Garland has a new Managing Director for Parks and Recreation. Perhaps, slime ball David Arciniega and his stooges will be shown the door. I would think the city will only allow reputable organizations to use the fields. So, now Garland Soccer should be making the changes necessary to keep the kids safer and money should be properly accounted for. The shroud of secrecy and mismanagement should end. The taxpayers and kids in Garland deserve better!

Isn't he the Chairman of Coaching Education for NTSSA?

Arciniega apparently ran unopposed in July months after the suit was threatened  and then subsequently filed.   He was apparently given the North Texas attorney to use in March.  So, we don't know if NTSSA refused to keep funding the attorney as they thought Arciniega was likely to lose or if the attorney refused to continue to represent Arciniega as he was turning over no documents and making false statements about proper protocals and procedures according to the by-laws.  Since that NTSSA attorney bailed several months ago, and the insurance attorney has stepped in, deadlines for discovery have come and gone and Arciniega has still not turned over a single document.

Under US Youth by-laws David Arciniega should have been investigated and possibly removed from all soccer activities.  North Texas will continue its downward spiral with Arciniega on board.  Club Soccer swept up much of South Texas and with Arciniega opening the door North Texas will be next!

North Texas State Soccer is totally ineffective. Possible financial fraud and child safety issues are all routinely swept under the rug. Denton Soccer, like Garland, is dealing with serious corruption, dishonesty and mismanagement. Thankfully, for the kids, they have a whistle-blower who is fighting to clean it up as well.
