Few more guests in the Keegan game?

The Dalglish game we had an 06 & an 05 playing with us a good win by Dalglish but would of been different if we would of had our guest if thats what you want to call them ...Quit crying this is the top league be prepared to play the best.

Dalglish also has an 05, just saying and were missing 3 players. The game was what it was, no way to tell what would have happened if you had your other players there.

No one is crying so not sure why you would say that? No one from Dalglish is giving you a hard time for how you roster your team, thats your business. As a matter of fact I understand we worked with you to re schedule the game when you had a conflict. And due to PT field move we both had to play at different times than we were told. We all payed for 8 games and im sure you want to play them all as much as we do, no one should have to FF when things come up. We just want to play.

Anyone know the DT South vs. Sting score from today?

No offense to Sting but my paper is on DTS. Closer game might be Fever/Spirit!?

It's alway's m bates I don't know what team his DD plays on but he loves to stirr things up

You must be referring to the 6v6 game today? Not sure what the score was, but the full team does not play every 6v6 game, allowing for more touches and less subs. Not sure these 6v6 games mean much.

My view is it shouldn't be allowed in League play, whether it be Liverpool, Texans or Sting. Tournaments? Fine! What's the point in playing a League if some of the teams involved use players from other teams? A league is based on who is the best over a number of games. Guest players weaken that idea IMO. It's fine when the kids are younger but the girls are getting nearer to Select now, it just confuses things.

It seems to me that if wins and team/coach prestige are the primary goal then sharing players makes sense. If developing girls and a team to play together long term is the goal, then you would want to develop a girl to play the spot of your star guest player.

Of course I am sure the parents are happey to get their kid more playing time and feel important having her "wanted" by several teams but in the end, they are not serving the best interest of the girls on both teams and those parents never really know where that team stands... Those players and teams are much more likely to explode before QT because the identity of the team was never solid.

I think that when a team uses 3 or more guest players in a league or tourney, what does that say about the coach, team or the team's roster? To me, it means that coach should be worried about finding players and working at getting his team to a competive level before worrying about a league game or a good showing at a tourney. As a parent, we need to understand that the coach should be worried about developing the lower half of the roster instead of trying to find players to fill-in.

The point of academy is advanced development over rec prior to select.

Should players be locked into a contract at U9? Of course not but it is also an extreme to have a kid playing on 5 different teams in one season. I know many coaches who avoid such players regardless of how good they are. It's fine to check out chemistry and coahces but at some point you have to settle into a team to have any idea of how well you will actualy fit.

That's More of a PARENTAL Issue than a Coaching Issue, in my Opinion...

DeLeon Got TGPL Commitments from Some Girls that Also Play SDL Games...My DD Also Plays EAL Games, but they're Always on Sundays, so there's Never a Conflict...It's Not as if DeLeon LIKES the Uncertainty of it All ...

If Coaches Borrowed Players from WITHIN the Same League, I'd have a Problem w/it Also...But DeLeon's TGPL Girls AREN'T Playing TGPL w/Anybody Else...

Lets take DeLeon's team. Before I go on, we played with DeLeon and my DD's soccer skills have alot to do with him. He and I had some words but I feel we are over it.

Now, if Deleon HAS a full roster without guest players BUT chooses to use guest players in order to play in a compettice league, what is he accomplishing? If my DD is in the lower half of the roster and is missing out on playing time because of the guest players, how should I react? My opinion, he should concentrate on developing players in a less competitive league and develope his players. He is a good coach and he can develope players.
