If your team is not playing indoor over winter break do you need a release to play indoor with a rec team? Team is playing futsal, couple players want to play indoor with their old rec coach, didn't know if that was allowed or against the rules.

indoor is not affiliated in any way with your Select league or any other Rec League.

You are safe to play indoor with anyone.

Would be best to get OK from coach though.

Why? This is part of why NTX select is so tilted toward the clubs. Permission to play elsewhere during the off season?????

Team agreement - did you sign one? Always talk to the coach.... they should be happy you are getting your DD more touches.

It's not permission....it's just a courtesy and sign of respect IMO! And you're aren't asking if it's ok, you are just keeping coach informed.

Exactly right. Our coach asked us to always keep him informed of any/ all extra sports activity soccer or not. It just helps him to stay connected to the kids and encourage them.

NO, you do not have to get permission and you do not have to tell the coach if you do not want. Indoor is its own beast, go play an dhave fun.

Thanks all! Coach was fine with it, just wanted to make sure that if the rec games conflicted with our futsal games the select team came first.
