Underpants Empty Underpants

Post by bigtex75081 02/11/12, 12:17 pm

Last night, during a scrimmage, my DD was matched up against a boy that was pulling on both her shirt and her shorts. What really angered her was that the boy almost pulled her shorts down. I didn't know why she was upset until after the scrimmage when I spoke to her.

If she was a grown man, I'd advise her that Under Armor makes excellent products with their boxer briefs. That they look decent and can be worn as sliders.

But she's not a grown man... she's a very lean 50 lbs girl.

Does anybody have any good suggestions for soccer underpants? A brand and style that will serve better for soccer than the run-of-the-mill underspants everybody buys in 3-packs from Target?

Sounds like our daughters are about the same age/size.. Previously I bought dance shorts which worked ok but she grew out of them. The cons, a bit shorter than sliders & colors are somewhat limited, granted I only looked at a few places.

She outgrew them this year, so I bought Nike Youth Boys sliders.. although I guess they could technically be called briefs. Anyway, they aren't as snug throughout as the dance shorts, but seem to be working good until I find something specifically for youth girls.. which I have been unable to thus far. Hope this helps.

A couple of years ago my daughter had an issue with underwear, nothing like what your explaining. We switched to under armor tights they make them in yxs, ys, YM etc.. And sell them at Academy sports in girls section

They did the trick.

I offer a different type of solution. My sons solve the shirt/shorts pulling like this. Make a fist, then lift the middle finger out into the old school nuggy postion. Take that lone knuckle and smack the offending hand very hard on the back bony section of the hand. Relatively harmless but quite painful. Always works put an end to the clothing pull. no special shorts required. Smile

My dd is a keeper, but she wears the Under Armour slide shorts. They have a place for a cup, but I don't think she has noticed or questioned the extra "pocket"... Anyway, you have to cross sport and sometimes gender boundries to find specific products to fit the need, but they are out there and readily available.

My girls love the dance shorts that they sell at Academy. They also sell volleyball shorts, which are shorter than the dance shorts. Both were inexpensive, so maybe you could try both and see which your dd likes best.

My '02 dd wears A4 sliders that are made for girls. I purchased them through Soccer Corner. They work great and are snug and comfy and fit a girls body. Dd tried the boys sliders but with the weird crotch area she hated them. Also the A4 not only are the elastic waist they are also draw sting so extra prevention of them sliding down if someone gets to pulling.

Just FYI, new 2012-2013 LOTG:

- a jersey or shirt with sleeves- if undergarments are worn, the color of the sleeve must be the same color as the sleeve of the jersey or shirt

- shorts - if undershorts or tights are worn, they must be of the same main color as the shorts

Also, sliders are considered "tights." LOL!
