Looking at this list of teams first have to say congrats to finishing the first half of season. I wonder how this list will change at the end of spring? Who will still be together and who will fall? I can remember before signing there were 70 plus 02 teams at one time .

I have really been impressed with the play of all the Sting teams. They seem very organized accross all teams on their style of soccer. I'm not even gonna discuss FC South for fear of the topic becoming an old Polaris conversation. Smile In the two games my DD has played against the top two teams I have noticed one obvious thing, Grubbs and Higg are big and can basically kick the ball farther than our girls can. Are they faster? Not by much... Don't get me wrong they are fast.....I am curious what will happen when the kick strength and size differential evens out a little. This is new to me but I think it will happen. Could be wrong. Don't know for sure.

I have also been impressed with the response from some of the teams that started slow (Dynasty, Dunstan FC Premier) they will be spoilng some teams hopes next season as well as improving their standings.....

I still believe the best possesion team is Dynamo... They always make our girls chase the ball and are very calm with the ball. Not that Higgs and Grubbs are much different.

The team with the most upside is Gio IMO the are very athletic..

It also appears Solar Red has stepped their game up back to the level we have grown accustomed to....

These are 10/11 year old girls so anything can happen but my top 10 prediction is as follows:

DT Higgs
FC Dallas Grubbs
Solar Dynamo
DT South
Sting Rez
Solar Red
Solar Gio
FC Dallas South
Fever
Defeeter's/Andromeda

I know this is waaaayyyy ahead and girls will move around but.....who has the strongest ECNL team based off the teams in the top 20?????

FCD Premier best team in league. Texans 02G close second. FCD is more polished in the attack, has the best player in the league, and is the better of the teams with possession. Texans is the most athletic and powerful team in D1, rely on extreme high pressure and bigger and faster girls to shock and awe opponents into mistakes. Next two teams, Solar Dynamo and Texans South are the only two that can compete and possibly upset top two on right day. Reason is that both teams have well practiced formulas to their game approach. Dynamo passes and possesses better than anyone else creating lots of chances in opponent box. DT-S is tough as nails, athletic, efficient, probably best direct team in league with a difference making forward as central target. Knowing what you want to do on the field helps a lot.

After top tier big 4, the next 6 slots are pretty close in ability. Difference is these next 6 teams don't have team formula cemented as top 4. Solar Red and Fever are likely to finish at the top of second group although Solar Gio could spoil the party and come in as #6. StingRez will finish top 10 although they will sink in the spring with tougher schedule than most. The final two D1 spots will be up for grabs for any two of six or seven teams.

It seems that Fever and Andro will have some work to do in 2nd half with harder schedules. FCD South will have a tough run in the middle but it will ease a bit after that, D'Feeters already through their toughest patch and now seem to be more cohesive. I see 1-7 solid, 8-10 being FCD South, Feet, Fever to round out D1. I would see Dunstan making a run at a D1 spot before Andro.

I wouldn't count out FCD Blue.

True, their schedule is favorable as well in the 2nd half and they are a good team.

dont think being able to kick the ball farther makes the biggest difference when it comes to those two teams. They are just that much better than most of the teams.

SOLAR CHELSEA DYNAMO - agreed with all, they are a great passing/posession team. Not shocked they are #3 but still shocked they are in the thick of being #1 or #2. They have definitely grown a lot since the 'Academy' days, look for great things from them.

D'FEETERS - to be close to the Top 10 and playing tougher games is great for them. They had several 'new' girls to their team during King Tut/QT and they appear to be working together. Like to see where they finish after the Spring.

FC DALLAS BLUE - they lost their main GK in the beginning of the season but are still playing good soccer. Not sure what their schedule looks like for the Spring, but could push to be in the Top 10 if not a little higher than they are now.

Interested to see how the following teams will finish out the season to deteremine DIII next season in LHGCL:

LIVERPOOL FC AMERICA HANSEN
FC DALLAS EAST RED
DALLAS TEXANS 02 GIRLS RED DALLAS
Odyssey 02G White
Solar Chelsea 02G Stark
Liverpool 02G Keegan
