Winter College ID Camp Overview
2013 marks the first year of The TCU Winter College ID Camp, featuring the staff of The TCU Women’s Soccer Team as well as other top coaches from across the country. This two-day event is designed for advanced player development and exposure to some of the nation’s top college coaches. College Coaches from across the region and country will be in attendance, and will represent Divisions 1, 2 and 3. In addition to college coaches, several Frog players will be employed by the camp for demonstration purposes.
The TCU Soccer Staff believes that “the game is the best teacher.” The same philosophy will be applied at camp. The focus of all activities will be learning through play. Enrollment in the camp will be extremely limited to allow individual attention for each player from the staff of college coaches. A combination of small sided and full 11 vs 11 games will be at the core of the camp curriculum.
Players should plan on being available Saturday morning beginning at 9:00 am, and finishing Sunday afternoon by 1:00 pm.
Facilities
The Winter Camp will be held in the state of the art Sam Baugh Indoor Facility. This facility contains a 100 yard long field turf soccer field. To view images of The Athletic Field House, go online to www.gofrogs.com. The Indoor Facility guarantees each participant a proper training environment out of the elements, which will allow for the best exposure for college coaches.
Housing and Meals
Housing and meals are not included in the camp price therefore players who are attending from outside the area will need to make their own arrangements prior to attending camp. There are several housing and dining options in and around the campus. For any questions regarding meals and housing please feel free to contact the camp office at (817) 257-6699.
Who Can Attend?
Camp is open to Girls ages 14 and up. Field players and goalkeepers are welcome, however goalkeeper slots are very limited and will fill up quickly. Because of the nature of this camp, activities are designed and the focus will be on high-level soccer players. Players interested in camp must be in High School and have college soccer at some level as a goal.
Cancellation Policy
Those who cannot attend camp for medical or other reasons will be refunded all but a $50 administrative fee. To receive a refund the camp office must be notified at least 72 hours before camp begins. Refunds are not issued for any soccer related injury and/or illness occurred during camp.
