I've tried his camps twice and both times have been terrible experiences. I am glad city futsal offers strong skill sessions now so I don't have to deal with Ferdie and his arrogance and over priced drills. Although I do think his carpet is a complete waste.

He did take my money and I had a reservation, he admitted his mistaked and said come back next week and the moron forgot when we showed up. Not even enough retention to remember something that happened a week ago. I guess you don't need smarts if you just teach skills out of a book.

Re: Ferdie's camp a big disapointment !!!!!!!!!
Roughly 5 years later, my younger daughter and several others from my team attended his camp. The training had really taken a dive at that point: Way too many participants and barely enough room to move the ball. Ferdie himself took to standing away from everyone and barking out the next move (he spent the first 20 minutes taking in last-minute sign-ups rather than turning them away). Minimal interaction. Worse, though, were his assistants. They were quite young and highly unmotivated, even when there were participants that were clearly making consistent mistakes as they struggled to learn. The players spent most of their time standing in 3-deep lines doing foot-on skills over and over. Yawn.
As for his camps being a money grab, that's probably true. But such is the case for nearly all of select soccer, so I would lump him in the same group as most clubs that charge $2500+ per year, clubs holding their own mandatory tournaments, over priced uniforms, coaches with 3+ teams charging $17-$20K each but not being able to give adequate attention to any one of them, and on and on and on.

And this coming from the person calling himself "SilentParent" but being in the top three among active posters... again. It's always like that with people who can't see the big picture. Be sure to let me know how your thoughts on select soccer have changed after at least 10 years of being involved with it (and how wrong you eventually come to realize you are). It can be humbling when you learn all of this means very little in the scheme of things.

Double yawn. Spoken like the typical first-timer soccer parent who thinks he knows everything but is well on his way to ruining the sport for his daughter. I've read just enough of your posts to know. Want to compare playing and coaching experience? I'm compelled to offer what would be the correct guess on such matters, but it would just be too easy.
