“Campaign of the Heart”
“Campaign of the Heart”
It has become a tradition for each of our tournaments to work with a “Campaign of the Heart” supporting a local cause and helping those in need. This year, we are humbled in many ways as we dedicate the tournament’s “Campaign of the Heart” to helping the Newtown Youth and Family Services and all the citizens of Newtown, Connecticut. “The Newtown Youth and Family Services is a non-profit youth service bureau and mental health clinic dedicated to helping children and families achieve their highest potential.” The community service the clinic provides includes counseling, screening, treatment, and at times, simply a place to gather, as the children, citizens and friends work to cope with the tragedy of the Sandy Hook Elementary School.
At the tournament, you will find the “Angels of Sandy Hook” bright green wristbands for sale at the tournament headquarters of each complex. 100% of the proceeds will be sent to the Newtown Youth and Family Services to help them have the resources they need to provide compassionate care for those residents of Newtown and surrounding communities around the clock. Donations for the wrist bands are $5.00 each. Your generosity will make a difference in their lives.
“The streets of heaven are far too crowded with angels tonight.” (From The West Wing Series)
