oh wait until you see the big moves hyndman mad over the break come to fruition. Brought in players, loyal coaching staff, and cleaned everyone else out. In fact the new system is so fluid and exciting Brek Shea just couldn't fit in so they had to move him MLS cup here we come

Great move for him, not great for us season ticket holders. My DD is a big Shea fan. Met him several times at the Ladies 101 the club held. Always pointed out her friend Brek if he was on the tube.

Guess ill have to grab her a new Jersey.

I will say it....the MLS has failed to deliver a product that Americans will embrace. The American league needs to be the best in the world, or you won't get the fans. Look at car racing...Indy cars can barely stay solvent because F1 is the best - instead the American fans flock to Stock Cars (NASCAR), because its the best stock-car racing...NBA/NFL/NHL/etc...If its not the best, its a sideshow.

Try making it a legends tour, and bring all the old guys out...(oh wait, they tried that)...well, try giving them first crack at our college draft..(tried that too)...umm...big contracts? (gotta sell tix first)...ummm...ok...I got it...

Turn it into an actual sideshow. Add the Women's national team to the league and have each team play in a "battle of the sexes" once or twice a year...yeah..that'll work...yeah.

If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. MLS should join UEFA, coordinate road games to get high-profile opponents here, get some player movement/trading/loaning/etc. Make it not so slam-dunk for an young American player to play his best years in Europe, then going into semi-retirement with the MLS....

FCD still the cheapest seats of any professional team in DFW. At least you can feel you get your $$ worth.

I call BS - - - Simple math:

AAC holds 22,000 for 40 home games this year - 880,000 total tickets
PHP (or whatever) holds 21,000 for 17 home games this year - 357,000 total tickets.

Maverics sell out much more often than FCD. And - there are more NBA teams than MLS teams.

But tickets is only a small piece of the pie - that just keeps the lights on at the stadium...TV viewership (ad revenue), sponsorships, merchandise, etc. is where the big money is at.

before you call BS you have to realize FCD was on the bottom of MLS attendance. Teams like seattle have sales that are almost double the capacity of the AAC

MLS did come in 3rd in AVERAGE attendance, due in great part to clubs like Seattle, Montreal and the Galaxy.

The US sports in Total attendance:
MLB 73 million
NHL 21 million
NFL 17 million
NBA 17 million
MLS 6 million


It certainly is growing.

So anyhoo what about Brek? What the hey is going on in Frisco?

I guess we can get excited about Ferreira and Castillo, and can be curious about the new signings: Pipico, our one named Brazilian striker, Peter Luccin, as well as "Superman" the new GK). But when the opening day novelty wears off, will we find that the king of Frisco has no clothes?

Looks like Brek just got his work permit. He is officially a Stoke Player now!
