David Pfeil New Feet Academy Director
David Pfeil New Feet Academy Director
The D’Feeters Soccer Club is excited to announce the appointment of David Pfeil as Director of The Academy program effective immediately.
While David is new to the academy, he is not new to The D’Feeters Soccer Club having been on staff since 1994. Throughout this time, David has helped many young ladies be the best they can be both on and off the field. The list is long of those that David has coached who have also participated in ECNL, Olympic Development, Regional and National teams as well as the numerous collegiate programs around the country.
David’s D’Feeter Background:
1994-1997 – Coach/Trainer- ’79 D’Feeters- NTX State Cup Champions/USYSA Region III Champions/USYSA National Championships 3rd Place
1997-1999 – Coach ’82 D’Feeters
1999-2005 - Coach ’87 D’Feeters
2005-2011 - Coach ’93 D’Feeters- NTX State Champions 2x- USYSA Region III Champions, Runners Up and Semi-finalists- USYSA National Championships 3rd Place- ECNL Member Participant
2011-Present – Coach ’01 D’Feeters and trainer with ’99 D’Feeters
As a youth player, David played in the Boys Coca Cola Classic League with The Dallas Comets. He was fortunate to participate with the state and regional youth team programs that led to the opportunity to represent the USA all around the world from age fifteen to twenty including the 1987 FIFA U/20 World Cup in Chile. His most memorable moment perhaps was playing for the U/20 team versus Brasil in front of 180,000 people at the famed Maracana Stadium.
David went on to play college ball at SMU in Dallas under the current FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman where he earned various honors and a BA in Physical Education. From 1991-1994 David played professionally for the Dallas Sidekicks.

Time to Grow!
Since 1978, the D’Feeters Soccer Club has grown to be one of the most successful all-female clubs in the country. We have produced great teams with great players who have gone on to play at the collegiate, women’s professional, and national level. Our accomplishments are vast, and the model we have had in place has worked well for us.
There’s an old Chinese proverb, “Be not afraid of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.”
This proverb holds true in relation to soccer and how it has evolved in North Texas and across the country. Standing still, is not an option. In order to continue to compete at the highest possible levels, the D’Feeters Soccer Club is growing. Effective today, the D’Feeters Soccer Club will expand to a two tiered team format. One tier will be known as D’Feeters ECNL, to fulfill our commitments to the Elite Clubs National League. The second tier will become D’Feeters Premier, to fulfill our commitments to the communities in which we serve and maintain a competitive presence in the Lake Highlands Girls Classic League.
We look forward to meeting the needs of youth soccer and continuing a long standing tradition of player development!
I liked how there is not a date actually mentioned.
