Meja U used an undeserved bye, publicly. With that as a given, how can anyone be confident that he won't sabotage the United team or not tilt things to MN in ways spectators would not notice?

Lol! Nice metaphor.
I agree, using the bye was a "technically" that LH should have examined more closely. I do feel a little bad for the Meja United girls, they struggled in PPL. I think was a poor decision to throw them into the classic league woefully unprepared for this level of play. As we all know they get one more season to prove themselves worthy opponents, or back to the dreaded LHGCL QT.
Im giving the benefit of the doubt on this one.

Isn’t there a huge conflict of interest, when a coach has to teams playing in the same division? If Meja North needs a full three points and a certain goal differential, what is to say that the game is not rigged and decided before the players take the field? The fall game ended in a 1-1 tie and the only point Meja United had for the fall season.
Since GM already bypassed the bye rules and placed a mid PPL team never associated with Galaxy in lake highlands and got away with it, what would keep him from deciding results to help his team with promotion?
I do see reason for concern over the possible conflict of interest for the end of season inter-club season game, but forgive my ignorance, I do not understand the angst over the club retaining its LH bye. Unless the "team" (75% of the rostered squad) takes the LH Bye to another club, why would Meja willingly give up a Bye it rightfully retained and owned?
Any club can (and has) cut and replaced a majority of a team's players in the offseason. The club is well within its rights to replace all, some or none of the players when preparing a LH team. What rule was bypassed?
