06 Futsal Team

I am wanting to put together an 06 team that plays at City Futsal in the summer and the winter sessions. I have an 06dd that plays for Kicks Martinez but this wont be Kicks affiliated. We just show up and play. I coach them but there isn't alot of coaching going on. They either play a diamond or a square formation. I am wanting to put together a very technical group that can grow together. If your dd wants to play futsal at a high level, then this might be a good opportunity for more touches. We are looking for 1-2 field players and a goalie. Futsal is great development for a goalie because they get lots of action. Its a group that could play Futsal together for 5 years. All we ask is to have fun, play unselfish and make your teammates better.

I did the same thing with my 01 and coached with another parent. They have been playing at City Futsal for years. We had 7 players composed of 5 different clubs. We kind of hand picked the 01 group and they were a very technical group. They are fun to watch play futsal. Its been great for the 01 because she basically has really good friends on about 7-8 teams from 3 v 3 or Futsal experiences. They played under Furious 5 or Seven Dwarfs. Our 01 group consisted of Kicks, Texans, Sting, Solar Red and FC Dallas Grubb.

The 06dd is tired of going to watch the 01 play and not participate. I told her we would do the same for her.

The furious 5 were a awesome futsal team. You looked forward to playing them because the games were exciting. I recommend checking out this group!

These guys do it right. Furious 5 were great, but 7 dwarves are technically brilliant and capable of playing with anyone in the country. They are top players but manage to keep it fun and don't replicate the high pressure environment you get in league play. Doing a fantastic job with the 01s, they've set the standard in the age group for small-sided. If I had a daughter this age, I'd get her involved with this group (or any small sided group with similar goals and approach).
