June 7-9 Primetime 7v7 Tournament

I just spoke to Primetime and as of right now they only have the Kicks 07 team signed up. This is Solar Dynamo’s first time to play together and we do not want to play up in a mostly 06 division. The official registration deadline is this Friday. Can you please let me know if your team is planning on signing-up for this 7v7 tourney? Assuming there is enough interest Solar Dynamo 07 will be participating.

LP Gerrard plans to sign up here, but that was based on information that everyone was directed to this tournament. Where are all of these teams? Sting West? Texans? LFS? Tigers? GSSC?

TRD Texans PM me they are in. Director said Kicks are already signed up and he was going to reach out to Tigers and you as both teams expressed interest but are not registered. Director said he would extend deadline and honor price. If Tigers and Gerrard are in then Solar Dynamo will be signing up also- so that would be at least 5 07 teams.

It would be nice to know if KICKS07 is going to be playing in their age bracket. I know they have been playing in 06 division in the past 3 or 4 tournaments from what I have seen.

I havent asked, but i doubt it. They are playing Gold level 06 teams this coming weekend.

Andro I just talked to Tyler at Primetime and he is at least working under the assumption that they would be included in the 07 division. If this is not the case they may want to let them know as it will impact how many additional teams Tyler needs to create the 07 division.

Why are they playing 06 tournaments? Are they so scared of the 07 teams that they have to run and play up an age all the time?

Who are you considering Gold level 06 teams? Because there are GOLD level teams, and then there are "gold" level teams signed up for the gold division in a tournament.

DT South is a Gold level team, they walked thru Primetime silver, except against Kicks Davila 6-3 us and 1-1 draw in the two matches. FC Dallas Webb, LFS 06, LP Barnes... wait unless you dont think Wolf's squad is as good as he says they are. They walked thru primetime gold in the spring.

Are those teams Sting Chacon, Kicks Martinez, DT Torres, McDaniel 06, etc.. no, but pretty close. As was shown in the last 06 gathering the top are all pretty close to each other, with maybe 1-3 really above the rest.

The same cant be said in the 07 age group, so for Kicks 07 to be going up against good and seasoned 06 squads by any U7 measure... you cant sneeze at that. Good luck to them is what I say. The girls will learn some lessons as the 06s play a very organized fast paced style of soccer already. DT South has a beast of a player, game changer in my opinion.

I have seen DT South and I do agree that they have one exceptional player on the team. They have a pretty good lil squad right now.

FYI Solar Dynamo 07 is officially signed up for this tournament. Primetime informed us there would be at least four 07 teams. So if you waited to see if an 07 division formed you can now sign up.

The Sunday portion of the tournament was cancelled so only the Saturday games played. DT United was scratched and Liverpool St. John took their place. Here is a link to the scores.

They are good... much more advanced than most of the 07 field... Though they did have a 4-3 game a few weeks ago against some 07s. 2 PKs for them in that game, one with 45 seconds to go sealed the deal.

Can anyone comment for Kicks? PM me also if you want.

Kicks 07 is hands down the top team in North Texas. We (LFC St John) lost 13-0 to them. We played most of the first half short and 4 starters were out of town. However even if we'd had our full team the outcome would have still been the same just not by such a huge margin. Coach is doing great things with this group. Scary part is that they have a couple of 08s on this team. Great job Kicks 07!
