Aww, makes sense now. Impressive team even w/o the 06.(If it's the one I think it is) The 07 group should beware.
They certainly showed our girls a different level. LP Barnes did as well.
I think these 2 may meet up again tomorrow.

Kicks again played excellently for almost a pure 07 team. Shocked if they're not the best 07 group out there.

Just curious, did JK keep 100% of his roster from the last tournament when he switched to LFS?

Congrats to LP Barnes for taking 1st. There are some pretty good players in the age group.

Were there any standouts

I'll take that bait Soggy. I was out watching son's team and caught a couple LFS games. Moritz has not had this group long (Per a sideline dad) and they were the best passing group out there. They had a very strong forward girl with blonde hair that created havoc each time she was in game (#3) and a great keeper. Good midfield play but held the ball way too long when there were open players a lot. Kicks really athletic group with strong #13 forward that could dribble all day, and they had good outside mid play on both sides. Liverpool really good team and well coached, it was a fun final to watch where both teams attempted to pass ball and play soccer. Liverpool best team out there overall but LFS played extremely well for a new team. Kat girls did not have a dominant player and the calls for "just beat her" and " take her on" fell short because of that.

Agree with UN commentary. LP Barnes has a big, fast, physical team. Forwards are tough to keep up with. LFS passed the ball well. This looks to be a good team in the making. The blonde forward changes the pace of the game when she's in. And speaking of game changers, the Kicks forward does that. I think she was the 06 ringer on that team, and she is big time. Kat has a few kids with some big legs, but she needs more time with them.

Sorry I wasn't trying to bait?! I have a daughter wanting to play and just wanted an idea on different teams.

I would say the tourney results actually put the teams in order of how they are at this time. There were several very good 06 teams not in attendance though. I agree with what several posters on here say, that it would be nice if all or at least most of the 06's could come together in 1 or 2 leagues. Would make for good competition for all teams.

Yep, Kicks and Texans Torres both have very good 06 teams.
