As for the changes to the top, they are very interesting. I watched the PrimeTime Summer Shootout last weekend (no life!) and was very impressed with 2 teams - DT South was not one of them. LFS 05 (Left Foot Soccer) played a very nice, steady and controlled game. They looked to pass first and made the game look like it is supposed to be played, with very little kickball. They are a new team (at least to me) but appeared to consist of players who had played together and included some LP guests. I see them continuing to get better and assume they will play in Fall leagues. The other impressive team was D'Featers Black. I watched them play several games in the Academy League Challenge Cup and was impressed with their style of play and ability to compete with the top teams. Last weekend confirmed it - they had a very good LP guest player but play a very balanced and controlled attack with excellent passing. They need to be consistent from game to game but have benefited from playing teams at the top of the FBRs.
Interestingly, these 2 teams played each other in the semifinals, ending in a 1-1 draw with LFS winning the PKs. It was a very entertaining game.
I will take my hat off to DT South though. They win.

FS05,
I've heard, from Liverpool parents, that RASE and Hyypia are esentially the same team, give or take a few players that only play with RASE, or one of their alias'. I've also heard that Carragher and Hyypia are essentially the same team, give or take a few players. And I've heard that each of these three teams has a core group--not sure what that means exactly--and others float as needed or for purposes of "development". So, I'm, understandably, I think, a little confused, what with the conflicting understandings being shared from within the club itself.
Is there a RASE totally exclusive of Hyypia? I know things are always changing at LFC, but, as of right now, who is RASE 05?

I agree. LFS plays well. Fever played them in the PT Summer classic which also went to PK's. Each one of their kids put the PK in the upper 90. Very impressive.

Sounds to me like we need to get Bert Convey, Soupy Sales, and Kitty Carlisle out here to figure this out... "Will the REAL RASE '05 please stand up..."

It is my understanding that RASE 05 will be returning to CFBAL 05 this fall for one of the two leagues they will play in. I assume HYYPIA will also be in CFBAL as well.

So are you saying the two teams are mutually exclusive and do not and will not share players?

What does that mean for LP Carragher?
And Joga, it helps to have nieces. If only I has other hobbies.

Was just passing on my observations from the tournament. If DT Moreno had played in it, I probably would have had something to say about them. They are a good team.

Just a quick FYI...Lady Aztecs "A" record is incorrect. They have 1 loss and 4 ties. There is confusion between "A" and "B" Team. LA "B" played the last Primetime Tournament; LA "A" played Legends Tournament.

Well since you asked, it all depends on whether it is Lady Aztecs A or Lady Aztecs B. One player, who just might be the best 05 player out there, makes a world of difference. Out of Bracket A, give me Kicks Diaz and LFS 05 (my impressions of LFS 05 are well documented). If it is Lady As A, then give me Lady As and LP Reina. If it is Lady As B, then give me Lady As B as the #2 seed and LP Reina as the #1 seed out of Bracket B. Lady As A beats LFS 05 and then Kicks in the championship. If it is B, then LFS play Kicks in the final with Kicks winning it all. Either way, it will be fun to watch. I'll be there. I'll be the guy with the long face and the big teeth. Come find me.

LP Reina beat LFS 2-0 last month and from what I remember only allowed 1 shot on goal, but I hear LFS have improved or have been using some stud guest players.
It's Lady Aztecs B so I say:
Bracket A 1st Kicks 2nd LFS
Bracket B 1st Reina 2nd LA-B
Semi Kicks V LA-B - Kicks W 4-0
Semi Reina V LFS - Reina W 2-1
Final Reina V Kicks - Kicks W 3-0

I think you are dead on with those projected results. And yes, it is guesting season so that could make all the difference. Would love to see an upset or two as well. We'll see how it goes.
