Does Liverpool have any worries? It seems many different clubs moving into Liverpool's recruiting area. It seems that the 121 area is being over ran with other club and team options.

I have seen this before. It usually does not effect the top teams, but the lower tier players and teams start to spread out with multiple options to choose from. That means less revenue. Or should we say revenue sharing.

What is left of TFC! The movement of teams leaving TFC has been going on for two months. I do like the acquisition of the training facilities on legacy! If that was part of the package.

I heard andromeda is a acquiring the facilities at 121 & Stacy  because the head pastor decided it was in his best interest. As for what is left of TFC I am curious as to how many teams are left?

I think LP will be more than fine, but I do wonder what the ECNL impacts is on LP if Dallas Rush takes another NTX ECNL spot in the next couple of years?

LP/FCD/Texans all compete in similar geographies throughout DFW. Shouldn't be an issue until one has vastly superior coaches and facilities in a specific location. Is 121/Stacy a great location? Location - yes, facility - just okay, not superior by any means.

If the rumors are true around ECNL not accepting new teams for years - LP should have zero worries about Rush getting a spot, because, neither are likely to be competitive enough to get a spot at this point. LP is HUGE in terms of teams, not large at all in terms of competitiveness. Rush is currently nonexistent in this area but very competitive in the other areas.

hey beautiful1,
so whoever is wispering in your ear believe that the pastor is the reason for TFC's downfall?  Is TFC a victim of mixing church & NTX soccer politics?

I didn't mean to hit a nerve. I just said the pastor may have something to do with the fields going to Andromeda.

How is Texans/FCD/LP's recruiting area defined? Of the three, one barely existed a few years ago.

Regarding the comment on competitiveness - looking at D1, which would be a precursor/qualfiication for ECNL status - there are barely any LP/TFC teams. Why/how would either become ECNL members if they aren't competitive in this area? ECNL is several age groups - not just a select few.

It will take time for either to build to a Sting/Texan/FCD situation.

When you look at the age of the club like Dfeet says at the upper age groups they don't have a wide range of succesful teams, however the 98's and 00's under CP have seemed to do fairly well. However when you look at the Academy level I'd say they have as good a record of anyone for producing top teams. Their 03, 04, & 05 groups seem pretty strong. So assuming those age groups can keep things together as they progress in age then LP will be just fine. However there will always be teams that are dumb enough to fall for the "move your team over to our club and you will be the top team and be able to play in ECNL with us" even when the girls are 5 or 6 years away from even worrying about ECNL.

i dont think LP has anything to worry about, why, because they dont care.  simple as that.  its a business over there.  so as long as the cash keeps flowing and it will..... ecnl, no ecnl.... the coolaid will keep flowing... rush, no rush...there will be more customers.

Could not have said it better. The reason LP has and is growing is because it provides the right value to its customers.

It's a business, players and teams create revenue. It just seems three other clubs have moved into the area wanting some of that revenue. Is their enough revenue to be split between three clubs? Hwy 121 has become a club Meca!
