D'Feeters South Empty D'Feeters South

I am assuming that this is how Feet is accomplishing its "two tier" system.  I am a bit surprised I didn't hear it here first.

Any word on how they got Polaris, as opposed to other clubs?

if I am not mistaken, I heard that the majority of Polaris ended up going over to LP and the "merger" with df's was 2 teams.

Its true that several Polaris teams went to LP over the last year.  The coaches that left were afraid of being replaced or having players taken to ECNL when they got older.  I think long term it will help both groups. D'Feeters will have a larger pool of players for ECNL and still have a presence in LH.

This puts Feet further down the same path as the other ECNL clubs have taken.

I liked the purity of the concept of refusing to water down the brand by putting their bumper sticker on anything that could pay dues.

How does adding Polaris not water down the brand? How many teams are even left at Polaris? Can't be many

Unfortunately, we are seeing the large clubs increasing their numbers across the city to increase revenue and eliminate the smaller independent clubs. It's a numbers game at this point. $$$$$$$$

Well all things must change or die!  So it looks on the website like they have an academy team at every age group and atleast 1 in he older groops except 00.  That appears to be 11-13 teams.  How many of those have already left?  Does anyone know?  I would think that it is good for both orgs long term but will need to managed properly.

Obvious to you mr. Texassoccer.net guy,but Dfeeters are just catching on! Expanding and increasing numbers seems to be the way to survive.

Quality has been thrown out and quantity is the new business model!

Is this true for all Soccer Clubs?  Or just Dfeeters?

Most of the Polaris teams and coaches left about a year or so ago. They may still have teams there, just not much quality.

Dfeeters is the one club that has resisted the quantity over quality business model, for as long as they could, before beginning to expand. EX: Andromeda quantity is growing can they produce quality from their expanding numbers.

Having only one team per age group was pretty much the only distinction D'Feeters made between themselves and the rest of the clubs.  Now with that gone, what will be the draw?

Who's to say whether they are giving up quantity over quality?  These clubs really only care about their ECNL teams.  They don't care about a LHGCL presence.  That's just a revenue stream.  Will this move make the ECNL teams better?  Probably not?  Will it allow them some monetary flexibility?  Most definitely.
