FC Dallas South wins on penalty kicks

Congrats to both teams who battled in the heat in a very physical game that ended scoreless in regulation and went straight to penalty kicks.

Just want to toot our horn a bit...  Our PPL team kept FC Dallas South to a 0-0 tie.  That was a huge win for us.  We had our chances on goal, and they had far more.  Our keeper had her "Hope Solo" game.   Congrats to all who made the semis, finals and to the champions.

Congrats! I have to admit surprise when I saw your scores! Is this the team folks can expect next season? I don't mean disrespect, I'm genuinely pleased for y'all!!! Just curious if you had guests that won't be a part of the team going forward or if it was all girls that are signing. It is hard to tell this time of year! 7-0 against Crush was a wow!!

Congrats to Sting Dunstan as well...they seem to have dominated the last two week ends. Love that group!!!!

More impressive than the 7 GF in one game...is the fact that you (LP-Nicol, I presume) had zero goals against in three games...and you missed moving on by only 1 point - well done.

Thanks, Mommabear. Our Sting East Dunstan girls have been working hard and are starting to play with a lot more confidence; especially after picking up wins over great D-1 teams like Solar Gio and D'Feeters to win Flamefest a couple of weeks ago. Thanks again for the kind words.

Sorry LP Nicol not so impressed.   5 subs on the team and some of the players that played are not returning.  Heard a couple of the better "old" players  are moving on.   Also heard your Hope Solo goalie is comitted to 2 teams.   Should be interesting.   Not very nice to brag on beating a team 7-0.  Don't usually see the winning team brag on beating a team like that.    

I was impressed with Sting Dunstan.  Great games overall.  Lots of  teams getting new players.  Season should be fun

Sorry 781...  No where in my post did I "brag" on beating a team 7-0.  We had a few girls out of  town, therefore we did have a few guests from other PPL teams, yes.  Those guests (minus the keeper) were out there 1 at a time.  

Ah it is crazy season.  That was a swan song of a game for us.  As is usual in North Texas soccer, kids move on.  Some moved up to D2 LH and D3 LH teams.  We are VERY PROUD of them!  They deserve to move on and it is a TESTAMENT to what Coach Mike has done in developing these girls.  We have picked up some girls to replace them, and guess what...  they too will be truly developed in possession style soccer.  We will be just fine.

It was me who mentioned the 7-0 win...sorry! I certainly didn't mean to cause any negative chatter...I was just giving kuddos to a team that did well.

Best of luck LP Nicol...I don't know any of you guys but I've spoken to Coach Mike once and he seemed to be a great person.
