03 LH QT Schedule

Does anyone know when we can expect to see the QT schedule for the 03's? Will they wait till after Tut and Puma Cup?

So, just an observation, Tut or Puma won't be used. On the King Tut, did they attempt to pair teams together? Some I see, others I dont.

From what I heard the plan is to seed and schedule the rest of the league before Friday and seeding for U10s will happen after Sunday when Tut and Puma are complete. Scheduling the first U10 games for Thursday and Friday (7/25 & 26).

I would imagine Tut and Puma will be used to some degree but most likely the majority of the seeding is already done and unless someone just comes out and puts on a show I don't think it's really going to matter what happens in the Tut and Puma. I think both are great preparations for the tournament, however nothing like paying $500 for something you could probably set up for free in the form of friendlies and scrimmages.

sounds like you are what you are. i would not be surprised to see nearly a mirror in the qt rankings to the fbr rankings in that case...

Where did you get 52 teams? Is there an applied / accepted list?

That's the way I thought he explained it back when he did that big write up so that is how I came up with it. However, I could easily have misread it.

Still confused as to how the seeding "is pretty much already done" and just some emphasis on Puma and King Tut. Most of the teams out there have a much different look than April/May and all the talk the entire time is how LH committe does not go off of FBR rankings. Sounds like there is something out there they use...

King Tut and Puma Cup do matter. Our '02 team was ranked #18 FBR going into King Tut last year. We won all our games at King Tut and got seeded #12 going into LHQT. We were fortunate to qualify the first weekend but there's no doubt that playing well at King Tut helped us improve our seeding. Play well at your tournaments this weekend and everything else will work out. Good Luck!

01 team ranked 11-13 played the tut platinum division and received a #4 seed in LHGCL QT tournament. I would say that it helped!

Did they make any mention if they are going to publish an accepted teams list ahead of time, or will everyone find out who's actually playing in the QT when the schedule is released?

So basically if you are playing this weekend and can wow the committee it can certainly have an impact. I think what people need to look at is that we keep talking about one, maybe two teams each year that play in these tournaments as an example of the impact it can have and in reality there are 40 plus teams playing this weekend and we are talking about it having an impact on about 5% of the teams playing.
Plus how does anyone ever really know that it moves them up in the rankings? Unless I'm mistaken (and I have been before so this wouldn't be the first time) it's not like LH puts out a ranking pre Tut and Puma so you actually know how much if an impact playing this weekend has on your team.
My guess is right now they probably have teams slotted in groups and if someone sets the world on fire this weekend they will get moved around. I just wouldn't put too high of expectations on this weekends results.
