At least in the gold cup he seemed to be more animated on the sidelines. Good coaches can communicate , and at the youth levels, sometimes need to communicate to players while on the field. It's a fine line between constructive leadership or constant yelling.
Klinnsman was likely shouting at the refs..(hence the ejection)...other than doing exactly what I suggested in an earlier post he is NOT constantly yelling and screaming at his players...nor is he trying to play the game for them.

Vicente De Bosque...interviewed by EUFA technical director Andy Roxburgh and reproduced in an article in the July/August 2012 edition of 'Soccer Journal'.....
If you don't know who Vicente Del Bosque is then you know NOTHING about this sport....and, chances are your 'interest' in soccer starts and ends with your daughters involvement.

You're not alone Sounder. I had to google Vicente Del Bosque since I had no idea who he was and I used to listen to the NASL games on the radio because they weren't broadcasted on television. Guess that still means I know nothing about the game and am not a real fan.
Will banishment from txsoccer.net soon follow?!??!

You may be wondering, "Who cares if you're wearing adult-size Vicente Del Bosque underoos?" Well both me and Vicente Del Bosque do!!! So you can stick your nasty sarcasm where the sun doesn't shine!
Now you may be thinking, "So what if you are wearing Vicente Del Bosque underoos, what does that mean?" It means I'm awesome and all-knowing and you're not!!!

Who played with the Tulsa Roughnecks. Actually have a picture with him from when I was about ten or so. He used to have a soccer shop in Tulsa before the NASL folded and he retired.

txtransplant wrote:I grew up in Broken Arrow where soccer really took off in the 70s. So at the end of season awards presentations (yes, this was before the advent of classic leagues in Oklahoma) players from the Tulsa Roughnecks would come and hand out the hardware and you always had your picture taken with them. They also did clinics, had a luncheon once a month where you could go eat with them and sometimes they'd just come out and wander the soccer complex watching games.
They were our idols.

Iraj Danaeifard...Charlie Mitchell...Green Country Soccer...Skelly Stadium...Ahhh the good old days. The Roughnecks had cheerleaders too!

The context of each situation can be difficult... I do like the coach to be on board with whatever changes that come to the normal routine. If they really cared, they would do these visits during a practice or scrimmage were the girls are the most open to learning and you can take the proper time to coach a situation....
