Hard to argue with that logic when you take all of the kids from one of the two best teams from last year and add several of the kids from the other best team.tschlurker wrote:Wondering how the regulars here rank the NTex U14 ECNL groups. General sense in OK is that Solar is clear favorite, but it seems there may be some differing opinions.
With a couple of their new additions the Texans have probably chipped away at the distance between themselves and Solar but not sure the gap has been closed entirely.
It will more than likely come down to how each team's new additions gel with the existing players that decides who finishes on top.

Objectivity is not a prerequisite for making Long Term, Weekly Predictions; Subjectivity (along with pride, hubris, and nerves of steel) is a good place to start when picking your team! The added benefit is that you can change your Long Term Weekly Predictions next week.dfeetersarethebomb wrote:For this age group there is very little subjectivity in rankings as the posters have normally put their own team on top. It is interesting for '00 age group that Sting and Texans have continually been the bridesmaid and haven't won league/state cups - definitely not the norm after three seasons.
The worst that can happen is that you are mocked and ridiculed mercilessly by your peers! Besides, who wants to be right if you're picking your DD's team to finish last?

Re: NTX ECNL PICK 'EM WEEK #2
I believe the subjectivity resides in the fact that all of the ECNL teams are completely new/foreign to us posters except for the team our respective dds are on and except for Solar, who as Gunner's referenced combined the two top teams from LY. So until the season unfolds more all there is left is subjectivity after one week. I truly believe all 5 NTX ECNL teams are significantly better than their respective team last year, which also makes it harder to predict. After this weekend, we will have a somewhat clearer picture of NTX based on matchups.dfeetersarethebomb wrote:For this age group there is very little subjectivity in rankings as the posters have normally put their own team on top.
